Hi everyone. Just wondering how the Red Rocks Munckmusic Cd sounds? I know it's a great set list, but is the mix and quality as good as the set? Thanks!

Dave

We sent out a bunch of these this week, so people should be getting theirs any day now. I'm sure folks will be happy to give their opinion, this crowd is never shy about that

It sounds great to me, for what it's worth. That version of "Dreams" is magical, absolutely worth the price of admission by itself.

Listening to it right now on a boombox at work.

So far so good.

Will say, that 'You Don't Love Me' starts off rough, sound wise.
Sounds like an audience recording before the mix levels out.

After that, the balance is pretty good.

Performance wise, though, they are kicking ass here.
Playing well, and sounds like they're having fun. Much better
than the Jones Beach I just listened to. Set lists are a little close,
so comparing performances is interesting.

If you're gonna get it. Get the bloody thing. It's that good.

I got mine in the mail yesterday. I put it in my car player immediately. I agree with lonomon on the rough start with 'You Don't Love Me'. Big disappointment at first. I think it takes the first song for them to get the mix adjusted. I'm at 'Dreams' now where Warren is taking over from Derek. I'll have to go back to the beginning of this tune and hear it from the start on my ride home from work tonight. It's sounding pretty sweet so far...

I'm thinking of pickin' up this one, also.

Was wonderin' what people thought of three covers - "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry", "I Ain't Superstitious", & "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright". Anyone want to share their thoughts on these?

Already waiting, patiently, for my copy of the Camden show (which we attended).
Looking for affirmation that the show was really as AWESOME as I thought that night!

I bought mine at the show. The quality is good, but not up to other IL's I have. Oteil is low in the mix and when you push him up, it just gets boomier and I've listened on a few different systems. The sound there was very good, from my seat in row 21. Joe Bell mentioned last year, that all shows were remixed after the tour and reissued. I was wondering if that will happen again this year?

Got my cd today. So good. Just as good as I remember it. As for the covers, they were incredible. How could they not be? It takes a lot to laugh, it takes a train to cry is my favorite.

Thanks for your input, GPTaylor. Your favorite is the one I was most interested in.

Looks like another show will be coming my way!

I love the groove on "I Ain't Superstitious," especially the versions from later in the tour after they had been playing it more. Very funky!

Can't wait to check my mail when I get home! My favorite at the concert was Susan singing Don't Think Twice, It's Alright.

I should have mine any day in the mail and I'll agree with Lefty that this was clearly the best I've heard Susan sing it!!! Beautiful!!!
