Good to catch up with everyone, if only briefly in some cases.

I enjoyed the show and, sitting front row centre, it was good to watch Warren at close range.

Unfortunately, his guitar, drums and bass dominated the mix for me so that the other instruments were muffled. I don't know how the sound was further back. The venue didn't seem ideal for amplified music!

Nice short set by Chessboxer in support too. Talented guys!

Great weekend away in London ... enjoyed catching up with everybody before / during / after the show ... look forward to the next time - hopefully somewhere with a drinking hole close to the venue so that Martyn & Mel can join in too ...

The sound was fine where we were sitting in Row H Gordon ... but we didn't get a plectrum so at least you have something to show for your front row experience ...

The only comment I would make regarding the sound is that it was a little bit too loud at times for that auditorium ... given that it is an old church where choral works are often put on, the acoustics were far more suited to an "acoustic" performance, so I was surprised that Warren played electric guitar for most of the show ...

That being said, it still rates as the best show of the year for me ... hope to see you all again soon ...

Colin, the same apllies to the show in Belgium i saw on tuesday the 17th. Probably my fave concert of 2015 and although i expected Warren playing electric guitar for most of the show i also expected a few accoustic songs. The sound at the Belgium venue was also too loud but the instruments were well balanced in the mix.

Govt Mule show in London on 12 May "upgraded" to the Forum in Kentish Town "due to demand".

Nothing to do with the roof still being unsafe, then?!

Anybody who sees the Forum as being an upgrade fro the Shepherds Bush Empire needs to take a good look at themselves.

Well that's effing great ... I have a hotel booked in Shepherds Bush so I could just stagger across the road from the pub after the show !!!

I assume our already purchased tickets are valid ... but what is the layout of the Forum ... we have tickets for Level 1 balcony which has disabled lift access for Mel ... does anyone know the format of this venue?

The Forum has a single unreserved seating balcony. Bench seats - none too comfortable.

The website seems silent on access. The Ticketmaster website says "O2 Forum Kentish Town takes the needs of disabled customers and those with specific access requirements very seriously and actively encourages all patrons to attend the events scheduled at the venue."

I bet they effing well do!

Mule have played there before - we were downstairs standing and the balcony wasn't even open.

Oh yes ... I remember now Gordon ... it was the show that they did a lot of Dead stuff at that I didn't particularly enjoy ... but Mart and Mel thought it was great because they are into the Dead ... I seem to recall there was a fairly decent boozer just down from the venue on the opposite side of the road ...

I have also booked a hotel opposite the SBE. I think I can cancel without paying. Or would it just be simpler for us all to keep the hotel reservations we already have and get the tube back to Shepherds Bush Green. Will have to look at hotels in Kentish Town just on case.

Hi Darren, Colin and myself are going to keep our hotels in Shepherds Bush. So if you want to do the same then the three of us can travel back on the tube together after the gig.

Anybody else seeing Devon on this tour? Cracking show in Newcastle last night. Nice mixed up set, although I wasn't too fussed on the Clapton and Marley covers ( Forever Man, No Woman) Great to hear Honeytribe's Mahalo again and finished with a rip roaring version of One Way Out. The Cluny is a small venue but I was pleased to see the place packed. The beer was flowing and all in all, a fine night out.

Saw Devon on the 19th in Warrington to a small but sold out crowd. Met him outside afterwards all on his own and not a soul around. Had a little chat and a handshake. An all round decent guy. Enjoyed the gig, whole band seemed to be having a blast. Have seen a couple of local players over the last couple of nights here in Dublin whilst on a short break with Janet. Mainly doing covers but not too bad at it.

anybody going to:

Mar 14 - Chris Robinson Brotherhood @ KOKO - London, United Kingdom

Saw them last friday in my hometown and they were awesome. 2 hours 45 minutes. Chris in fine voice and N. Casal killin' it on the guitar. Playing a bunch of new songs from the upcoming album. More uptempo songs played then expected. Recommended!

If Devon Allman + Mike Zito + Charlie Wooten were still in RSB then I would travel the 150 miles down to London in a shot to see them ... without them I'm afraid I wouldn't go further than the bottom of my road ...
