The Royal Southern Brotherhood are playing the Boom Boom club in Sutton on 21st July. Too far out for me as I can't get back unless I miss the end of the show but thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

When did Devon Allman and Mike Zito leave the band?

Gordon, I don't know if you are still holding a spare ticket for TTB, but sadly I can't make that date so please do not hold on to it for me ... sorry

I hope that Warren plays London so I can get down again to see you guys ...

Hey Gordon, are you going to go see 68-75 when they come over? Moray and I will be there.. (probably a good reason to avoid I guess!!)

If you are desperate to see Dawes, they are supporting My Morning Jacket at Shepherds Bush on 8 September.

Is Duane Betts in the band? I thought he was only guesting on the Letterman Show.

I've never heard of 68-75 (but it was a classic period in music!). I'll have to investigate....

I'm in F15. Looks very similar to St George's Bristol where I steward, so if you can avoid it, don't go to the sides upstairs as the view will be very restricted/non-existent! Also in my experience at St G's you don't want to be too near the front (sorry, Gordon!) as, while the sound will be pristine for classical concerts, any use of amplification battles against the natural acoustics of the building and you're better off a few rows back. The soundman will earn his corn that night if he gets it right. Hope they use a local guy with knowledge of the building.

Just got a couple of tickets ... but it was hard work ... I wish TM would let you chose seats ... initially I went for best seats at top price and it kept offering me front row BUT seats 1 & 2 which are right at the side and behind a pillar ... couldn't get it to throw any alternatives my way ... so eventually I went for second best price and got Row H Seats 10 and 11 which are pretty central (just a couple of rows behind you Jim) so I decided to take those ... sound should be better there and I won't get a stiff neck from looking up at the stage ...

See you guys there! ... once I find out where the place is that is

That thought occurred to me, Jim, as did the question why two seats front and centre were free when most of the rows behind were sold! I don't get front row very often so what the hell!

I booked through Eventim, Colin, and had no problems at all. I'm registered with them so they notified me of the show. Worth a thought as you don't get any of the retyping gibberish that you get with TM, get 15 mins to complete purchase and can pay with PayPal.

Smith Square is in Westminster, five minutes from Parliament.

No stiff neck, Colin, as the stage is only a couple of feet high! And the stalls aren't raked so I hope you aren't sitting behind someone with an Afro!

Thanks for the info Gordon ... I will check out Eventim. TM is ok from the notification and booking point of view as I am registered with them ... but the problem is you can't choose seats - you just get offered what they consider to be the best ... which I have an issue with when they think sitting on the end of the front row behind a pillar is best ... but I'm happy with Row 8 in the centre ... at 6'1" I'll take my chances with the Afro ...

Try the Holiday Inn Express - there's one near the 02. Been in there twice and got a reasonable rate of around £80 B&B(Continental) for the room, although that's about 4 years ago now. There are family rooms that'll take 3 adults (although maybe not officially). Alternatively, try Stratford or West Ham areas as they're on the Jubilee line going in the opposite direction of most folks leaving the O2 and a bit out of town so you may get a deal.

Not a great fan of TTB so giving this a miss. Glad I made that decision, with the Warren date now two weeks later. 2 out of 3 Saturdays in London would have taken some negotiation! All the best, Alan, sure we'll meet again sometime!

Went so far in the Ticketmaster process for the Warren Haynes London gig. £45 !!!! I'm drawing the line this time, ticket, trains, hotel, beer and food, and its best part of £200 bloody quid. I like the album...but not THAT much.
