Jan and I are going to see Steve Stills this Saturday Night ... 11th October ... at Shepherds Bush Empire (London) ...

Instead of "O'Neill's" I am intending to head for the Shepherds Bush "Walkabout" bar at about 5pm this time around, as the England soccer match kicks off at 5-15 and they have TV's.

Anybody else going to be in Town for this ?

I'll be there, Colin.

I won't be leaving home though until the SCOTLAND match is finished!

I'm obviously not bothered about the England match so I'll maybe see you in O'Neill's after it's finished.

I'm not sure about support act tomorrow. Tour only opens in Brighton tonight.

The Scotland match kicks off at 3pm so should be over by about 5pm ... the England game doesn't kick off until 5-15 and so by the time it finishes at 7-15 it will be almost time to get in line assuming the concert starts at about 8pm. I'm not particularly bothered about the support act (if there is one) but as seats are unreserved, the sooner you get in line the better the seat you will get, so I probably won't leave it to the last minute this time like I usually do. Why not come and find us in the Walkabout? You should be there by about 6pm I would have thought

Okay - Walkabout it is! Will remind me of my summer holiday in Oz!

BTW, I'm going to see Mick Taylor tonight in Chislehurst. I hope he turns up this time!

I have your mobile number in case the Walkabout is too crowded or plans change for whatever reason ... see you tomorrow

Acording to the preview of the show on the 15th at Birmingham, it is An Evening With playing solo aoustic and with a band it must be two sets, no support.

I'll be in the Pillars from about 6.45ish for a pint and some nosh (depending on trains/tube goiung to schedule!), so if you're up for it I'll see you in there. Doors open at 7 and it's many moons since I've been to the Borderline, so don't know how the schedules work or if there's a curfew.

Relix described them as Beach Boys harmonies with Beatles melodies and I'd throw a bit of Psychedelia/GD in as well.

Okay, Jim, I may see you there.

The Borderline usually has set times posted outside but I wouldn't expect anyone on stage before 8.

Unfortunately I am away for a long weekend and won't be able to get to Dingwalls on Tuesday ... otherwise I would certainly have made the effort. saw him open for dTb at the Mean Fiddler back in 2006 and was very impressed by him and his band.

Colin, any particular night you are planning to go to see Clapton?

Matt Schofield can be thoroughly recommended - cracking 2 hour set when I saw him a few months ago.

Will be giving Weller a miss at the O2 as he plays Bristol Colston Hall every couple of years which is a far more intimate venue. Far too big - saw Stevie Wonder there, enjoyed the show, but not the venue.

And to make any Who fans that aren't a member of the fan club jealous, they are playing the Indigo2 for members only (me) in december.

Jim, I was in the middle of booking a couple of tickets for Clapton this morning (row 2 of block H in the circle - pretty good seats) when the "Seetickets" site went down. I then had to go into a meeting at work and when I came out an went back on line (2 hours later) I couldn't get any decent seats. So now I am not going to bother for any of the current Clapton dates on offer, I will wait until the second batch of dates are released and try again in the next pre-sale. I would prefer to go on either a Friday or Saturday night, so I will probably try for Friday 29th May.

Will you be going with anybody? If not I could get a ticket for you and me and we could go together. And if you don't have anyone to go to the Who with, I understand that members can buy 2 tickets so I'll happily go with you to see them

Done deal on both counts, Colin. Brother-in-(common)law hasn't come back to me about clapton yet, so very happy to tag along and my fellow Chippenham "wholigan" can't make either of the dates (and is sorely p'd off about it), so I'll still order two tix.
