Any info on when the sales start for those Black Crowes dates in the UK and if getting tickets online is usually easy? I have a city trip "in the works" for me and my spouse and usually Dublin is the first choice but i might change that to London in case the BC won't make it to Amsterdam again.

Will check it out. Wife got me two years of Classic Rock but said the Blues mag was too much to add to it. Can only spend so much on me.

She has actually been getting frustrated with them as there was confusion involving a two year deal. They keep emailing her saying that they are working on correcting her account to two years opposed to one year. Not sure why it seems complicated to correct but I only care about getting and reading the mags.

Now I can spend my money on the Blues and look forward to seeing/reading your work.

I have had another look at her web site and it might be a full band show but not sure.

Apart from the obvious which non-European acts would you most like to see touring Europe this year?

I'd like to see Gillian Welch, Moe and and TTB.

Maybe Jimmy Herring and Tinsley Ellis too...

The time to see Dickey has come and gone, I think.

Moe will be in Europe again this summer. At least one date is confirmed: they will be playing at the Burg Herzberg Festival (Hippie Convention) in Germany. One of the four nights Gov't Mule will be headlining as well!

Cant see Moe coming back to the UK. The last gig they did had terrible ticket sales.
I went to the Islington Academy gig and they were brilliant, one of my gigs of 2012.

In no particular order of preference and as long as I get a job before they announce the dates -
Ben Harper; Tom Waits; Pearl Jam; Matthew Ryan; Dwight Yoakam; Emmylou Harris; Donald Fagen; Crowded House; Bjork; Michael Franti & Spearhead; Garland Jeffreys. (and as Graham Parker is now a US resident, I'll count him in too especially as he's reunited with the Rumour for US dates)(actually, to see GP & The Rumour would be my No.1 choice for 2013).

Counting Crows

O2 Academy Birmingham - 19 April
Bristol Colston Hall - 20 April
London Hammesrmith Apollo - 22 April
Manchester O2 Apollo - 25 April
Glasgow O2 Aceademy - 26 April

I don't know my Black Crowes from my Counting Crows! Are these guys any good?

If not, why are they charging £42.75 in London?!

I won't be going anyway at that price.

They are one of these bands that's been on my "Must listen to" list for years and years and had their First Album (reckoned to be their best) or Greatest Hits in my paw a couple of times, but bought something else. Might have headed over to spotify if SRV wasn't on the hifi at the moment.

Good to see that Bristol is on the gig list as well.

Apparently there's a promoter looking to get moe. on at Truck (this year/next year?) but it needs people to go on the Truck FB page and request them...
FB page is as follows

http://www.facebook.com/TruckFestival?sk=app_131346917031598&app_data

You need to hit the Make A Request button, and put in moe.'s name, web page and FB pages.

Be nice to see them playing in the sunshine/torrential rain of an English summer

Nothing to do with this thread...........

Just a heads up that if (like me until 2 minutes ago) you haven't yet bought Gregg's book, an Amazon UK marketplace seller has them for £6.60 (hardback) incl P&P. Ships from Canada, but I'm happy to wait at that price.
