Wow, it looks like Eric Johnson is headed for Europe. Surely been awhile.
If you want a spectacular guitar player don't miss the opportunity:

Only UK dates so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more dates on the continent!

Wow! Great news.

I've got my Mule and Taylor tickets booked and will be going to JJ Grey etc too (provided I enjoy them this coming Saturday!).

Hope more are announced - I enjoyed the GA/ TTB/WHB minifest last summer!

I would highly recommend Dan Baird - just saw him last weekend with Bobby Keys in NYC and it was fantastic. He and his own band are fantastic.

Hey if any of you guys are going to see the Groundhogs on Saturday at 229 The Venue in London I can put you on a list where you'll get in for half price (£6 instead of £12) as my band The Snakeoil Rattlers are supporting.

Just drop me a line or say that you're attending on the facebook event page (www.facebook.com/events/303552483054797/) and I'll sort it out.

I guess you'll have to be there before 8pm which is when we're on.

Luther and Cody Dickinson play The Borderline on 18th July (£12).
Jefferson Starship & Friends also Borderline on 19 & 20 October (£27.50 or £50 for both nights).
Pavlov's Dog (remember them?!) also Borderline on 21 August (£20).
Larry Carlton at Leicester Square Theatre on 3 July (£28.50).
Lucinda Williams at RFH on 10 & 11 November (£10 - 45)

What a great week that should be - Larry Carlton (3/7), Mule (4/7) and Mick Taylor (6/7)!

And the Independence Day assault by US artists on London knows no end! Govt Mule, Ian Siegal & The Mississipi Mudbloods, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Taj Mahal (at the RFH) all on one night.

Someone should have consulted the calendar before booking that lot! I would have gone to 3 out of the 4 (Mule wins of course) & I'm guessing a lot of people would go to more than 1. Mule's sold out & I would expect the others to be more sparsely populated than they would have been otherwise. A shame.

You can add Simon McBride at the O2 Academy Islington! Good luck, Simon!!!

Actually, it is billed as part of the London Bluesfest and has perhaps been added as a result of Mule selling out. But there is still an awful lot of counter-attractions on the same night.

Simon is also playing The Cluny Newcastle on 5 July and The Met, Bury part of the Manchester Bluesfest on 6 July.
