Thanks for that Harvey. I'm in loggia 15 so looks like a good view. Missed Beck in dublin last year so really looking forward to this gig

Then your view will be something like this ...

A little bit distant from the stage perhaps, but a great view none-the-less and a very good position for sound ...

Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Bush Hall, Uxbridge Road, London, 4th August. 18.50 + fees.

Shame it's a midweek gig as it's usually around 2.30am when I get back if I drive or have to miss a bit to get the last train. Might just have to make the effort though (but will depend on how much the car service is this week!).

Had my first visit to the Roundhouse in Camden last night, really liked it - the sound was sweet - really tight punchy low end - verby tops, sounded good all over. Views were good everywhere too. I think Trucks/Mule would sound killer in there (not sure what it holds people wise.) - reminded me a little of the sound at the Amsterdam Paradiso (lower room) -

I seem to visit Shep bush a lot these days - (since the demise of the Astoria/Fiddler) and to me Shep Bush Empire has the worst sound of near enough anywhere. The Roundhouse sound smokes the Forum too - which to me sounds echoey, distant and disconnected . Hoping for more Roundhouse shows

p.s. Band of Horses last night, who were fab too

What happened to the Mean Fiddler/Astoria? Saw my first Mule show at the Fiddler.

Both venues were knocked down to make way for a better Underground station - pretty sad, a lot of history lost in their destruction.
