Just noticed amazon.com has a new 2008 import cd of Ton Ton Macoute for $19.99. It has 2 bonus songs.

This is the great album from johnny Jenkins that features Duane and some of the ABB.

1. I Walk on Gilded Splinters
2. Leaving Trunk
3. Blind Bats & Swamp Rats
4. Rolling Stone
5. Sick and Tired
6. Down Along the Cove
7. Bad News
8. Dimples
9. Voodoo in You
10. I Don't Want No Woman
11. My Love Will Never Die

If you search for it, amazon calls it Tom Tom instead of Ton Ton.....

I've been looking for this for a while - glad it was re-issued as an import....

Should have it soon..... along with some Ronnie Baker Brooks cd's

I wore the vinyl out and got another. A friend "borrowed" it and I never got it back. Bought another copy which I still have. Bought it on CD when it was released.

And now you tell me they release it with extra songs? What does a guy have to do to own this?

The extra tracks were also on the 1997 reissue, which is also available on itunes. One of my favorite albums.

Whoever reissued it doesn't have the right to do so do they?

Rockin' Camel looked into leasing this album but the minimum manufacturing was 5,000. It appears Acadia in the UK actually did license the album. It's the version of Ton Ton Macoute that Johnny remixed in the late 1990s that was released on Polygram and then, I think, again on Capricorn.

Wish it could have been a Rockin' Camel reissue and stayed in the family...

I LOVE this album. I got a copy of the disc from Tishamingo after they performed the entire album at Down on the Farm in 07. I then went on a search to find it on vinyl. I found one copy for $150 on ebay! I decided to wait, and eventually found a copy for $9 from a guy who lived nearby. Picked it up and saved the shipping, and it's in regular rotation on vinyl listening days around here

Thanks to Johnny and Carl for looking into it. And the other stuff.

My vinyl is on loan to Carl, I assume he's taking good care of all my Capricorn stuff.

BTW.....how's the songwriting going?

Thanks for the heads up. I just ordered a copy. I have never heard the whole album, just the tunes from DA Anthology I & II. Does Duane play on the whole album?
