Hey Enzo!

Huge storm came through here last night, lots of BIG hail, rotation, wind damge, and flooding, but no funnels. We escaped without any damage, but it was intersting there for a little while. Things are still very tight right now, but we are making it, and at least our health concerns have been alleviated. One day closer to fine.

"This, then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Matt. 6:9-15

"So when you give to the needy,do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

Matt. 6:2-4

"And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the keys to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He siezed the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time."
Rev. 20:1-3

"....And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfer, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

Sometimes at church during the worship part the music is so good and moving I can actually experience being in the throne room of God among the multitude of voices worshipping and praising our Lord from the center of their being. Never thought I would ever think of church that way.

You and I were made to worship
You and I were called to love
You and I are forgiven and free
You and I embrace surrender
You and I choose to believe
You and I will see
What we were meant to be

Gaurd my life, for I am devoted to you.
You are my God; save your servant, who trusts in you.
Have mercy on me, O Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant,
for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
You are forgiving and good, O Lord,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, O Lord,
listen to my cry for mercy.
In the day of my trouble I will call to you,
for you will answer me."

I was thinking last night about how wonderful true fellowship is,that time we get to spend with others talking about real things that really matter, and how important that is, how it opens us up for a spiritual flow that goes from the Creator to you to me and back again, while also flowing the opposite way, from the Creator to me to you and back to the Creator again. What a cleansing, freeing experience that is, to be able to share who you really are with others and get the same back from them, warts and all, and it still be OK.

"For wherever tow or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Matt. 18:20

"And when John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?"
Jesus replied, "Go back and tell John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor. Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me."

"To what shall I compare this generation> They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:

'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge,
and you did not mourn.'

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her actions."

Matt. 11:16-19

"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord:
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song.

For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
for he is our God and we are
the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.

Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts."

Ps. 95:1-8

Sometimes life is just good, and those good moments, those lasting, endearing experiences that we cherish, are so often able to overcome the hard times, or at least get us through. It's not always easy to remember that "this too shall pass." Thoughts out to any who are struggling this day as we move to the holiday weekend. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and that light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

sweet lullabye
It just keeps on flowing
It don't worry about wherem its going

You're my blue sky
You're my sunny day
Lord you know it makes me high
When you turn your love my way
Turn your love my way.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,

and gave me a firm place to strand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and hear,
put their trust in the Lord."

Seems like so many here are experiencing difficult times, and I am so grateful for those that share theri difficulties and ask for help. Helps me to remember I am not alone in my struggles, or those of my family. I have found that through these struggles I come to know God better, rely on him more, trust him more, and through that, live more like he wants me to live. Somehow he turns the hard things and hard times in to blessings, and that, to me, is truly a miracle.

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, jo, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Galations 5:22-23
