Wizards blew it in the opener in Indy last night. If they could hit their foul shots they would have won in regulation.
Choking Dogs. Took another buzzer beater by Arenas to sent it to OT. Where they choked again.

Jamison is already in mid season "Ole' Defense" form. The Wizards are supposed to be focusing on Defense
and protecting the paint, yet they let Tinsley drive the lane down the stretch in the 4th quarter when they
needed some stops. No one steps in to block the lane, just wave at him as he goes by. OLE'

They need to pick up the Defensive effort.

There's been a lot of noise about the Celtics, as there should've been -- maybe this combination of players will get them over the hump, although an injury to any one of them (the big 3) could send things downhill pretty fast -- players like Perkins & Rondo are just as important -- go C's -- make this the year for the Redhead, & DJ too

NJ still has that threesome (Carter, Kidd, Jefferson), they could be every bit as dangerous if their role players like Kristic play to their potential

Personally I think this will be Denver's year -- Kenyon Martin looks like he's willing to take a back seat for once (he did start in their opener & looked OK I thought) -- if players like he & Nene get their roles figured out & JR Smith keeps his head in the game, they'll be lethal -- Camby, Carmelo & Iverson -- another trio w/major potential -- if Denver stays healthy, look out...

My Take on the Celts new line-up is mixed. A lot of talent but can it work together ?

Both Pierce and Allen take a lot of jump shots. Will both of them get enough attempts to keep them
both happy? That would be my main concern.

Wiz and Celts tonight, I won't get to watch as I'll be out of town the next 2 days.

You didn't miss anything as a Wizards fan -- the Celts looked sharp tonight
If there was any doubt about the outcome, a certain loudmouth named Mr. Arenas made sure of things -- by predicting in the media that the Celtics would have no chance to win the game and they might as well not show up -- nah, that wouldn't motivate the heck out of an already motivated team -- playing in their home opener, with Red Auerbach being remembered and greats like KC Jones, Tom Sanders, Cooz, Jojo White on the floor
Bro, I can only ask -- Wott the heck was Arenas thinking??

"Gil-bert, Gil-bert, Gil-bert..." the fans really let him have it toward the end of the game

We could have something special this year -- stay healthy & go Celts

The Grizzlies are just down the road, but I find it hard to get into them....hopefully,they'll get their act together.I gotta say,I do enjoy going to a game or 2 at the fe-Ex every season,tho......it's a lotta fun

wizard lose again 0-5. First time since '69, before Earl the Pearl and Wes Unseld came to save the
Bullets.

I guess Eddie Jordan's new defensive scheme is not quite working yet.

One thing about Arenas though, is his playing hurt -- in an era when most pro athletes wouldn't set foot on the court or field, he gets his knee drained, goes out there & plays, then has it bandaged up afterward -- he deserves a lot of credit for that, that shows a real hard nosed ballplayer -- IMO

Yeah Gil is definitely a warrior, Still not 100%. I don't know if he pushed himself too
hard in his rehab.

Wizards finally get a win against the Hawks, to avoid the first 0-6 start in Franchise history.

1-5 is not a good start thought.

they got a lot of work to do

Wiz win the second game in a Row. 2-5.

One bright note this season has been the improvement in Brendan Haywood's play.
His 5th double double tonight. He's been a monster on the boards. it's about time.
He has the physical skills , but the desire wasn't there before. He's got it now.

Let's make it 8-0 tonight against Miami -- am really looking forward to seeing how the Celts do against the San Antonios, Dallases, Denvers, Utahs etc (actually they've smoked Denver already) -- man it's awesome this start they've gotten off to!!!! Mr. Injury, please stay away

Will be interesting to see wott happens in tonight's Wizards game -- Minnesota is the Celtics of last year, but I think they can do good -- McCants & Big Al could really turn into something -- would like to see Ryan Gomes & Delonte West stay in the lineup & help turn it around -- plus, Antoine had a good game in their last game (19 points)

MVP through the first 10 games -- Andrei Kirilenko -- he is playing unbelievable for Utah -- he's really accepted his role, reinvented himself & is making triple doubles nearly every time out -- he's become a pretty ultimate team player

Comeback Player so far -- Kenyon Martin -- like Kirilenko he's accepted his role, put his ego aside & is playing real good minutes as the starting forward for the Nuggets -- which they'll need him to continue doing with Nene hurt

ROCK ON CELTS -- Red is happy, wherever he is

Wiz win 4th in a row, with Arenas on the bench for this game, may be back on Tuesday

The knee is still hurting him. I think he rushed back from rehab too fast.

Never been a Celtics fan, in fact, I grew up in L.A. rooting for The Lakers, so you can imagine where my feelings lie. BUT, I've been in the Bay area for 22 years. Despite six straight losses to open the year, The Warriors are competitive, just won two games, and Stephen Jackson is back after a seven game suspension to open the season. They still had seats for Boston's only trip to Oakland this year, Feb. 20th, picked up two. I also got San Antonio in January and Dallas in March.

Don't let your hopes get too high tomorrow night though!

The Warriors were awesome in the last month last season, they'll be OK -- ol' #19 (Nellie) -- always was a big fan of his

Wizards win again! 5 in a row to get back to 500. Arenas in street clothes resting his knee

THe Wizard offense was clicking, 29 assists to 11 turnovers, passing and hitting the open man.
THe assist/turnover ratio was as high as 4/1 when the Wizards led by 30 in the third quarter.
Deshon Stevenson was on fire and Andre Blache had a career night on 12-14 shooting, Both had
29 points. Antonio Daniels , starting for Arenas had 8 assists. Everything was clicking At one point
the Wizards were shooting 60 % from the field. Garbage time skewed the final margin and stats.
This was a complete blowout. Sixers were missing Korver

I'm sure the Gilbert missed playing in the this one. When a team's offense is clicking the
way the Wizards were tonight, the game don't get much more fun than that.

Haywood missed much of the second half on a tweaked ankle. Blatche took advantage of
the playing time.
