This has to be the dumbest thing Ive seen in a while... how the hell do you boycott an airport?

"Stewardess, please tell the Captain that Im boycotting the Minneapolis airport and to please land the plane somewhere else, thanks"

I've never been to that airport and have no plans to. Take that!

Could George be using Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon?

Yup, it's absurd. But if you read the article Squatch links to, it demonstates how desperate some of the organizations and lobbist groups can be.

Craig is a senior enough senator to have some real committee influence. This group's cause is the protection of property rights and use of federal lands. They see loosing Craig as loosing an ally to their cause.

Whacky as the connection may seem - and their request - it's a good lesson on why nothing good comes out of Washington. Too many people willing to go to any length try and force their agenda.

I'm so sick of politicians. Are there any public servants left out there?

Well, some would say that listening to the lobbists is a form of public service. After all; they are representing a view of some citizens, albeit very organized and well funded.

But as we all know, it has become completely out of hand. Money for re-election is the coin of the realm, and that seems to trump any sense of what's right for the country, common sense, or common good.

Why has the issue of term limits fallen so completely off the radar? Any restriction on contributions will always be thwarted by clever people, but knowing you can only serve for a two or three terms would seem to lessen it's importance.

I don't know, and I'm totally at a loss about what to do. So I've been trying to focus on my community and immediate sphere of influence. Still seems to be the same problems, even on a smaller, local level.

I'm sure Northwest Airlines appreciates this.

Speaking of airports or airlines, anybody read the story about Air Nepal this week ?

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,295857,00.html

Don't recall ever seeing this in any FAA literature or maunals.
