But, that's so easy, even a caveman could predict it.

Trying to get the old seatbelt out of the Windstar - I'm so strong, I broke the T-50 star bit trying to loosen a connection.

Yeah - the stress is gonna give me a relapse of shingles.

I'm just back from a great weekend of music on the Camden waterfront.

If you EVER get a chance to see The Smithereens, do not hesitate to go. That was my big "surprise" artist of the weekend. Surprise as in...DAMN, this is GOOD! So good, that cheap ol' me went and bought one of their CDs and had them sign it at the Member's Meet and Greet tent. These guys have been together for 27 years, and it shows

Other highlights for me: Ryan Shaw (young, retro soulman) and Los Lonely Boys...yeah, they rocked!

I bought a smithereens CD about 15 years ago. They had a song that was popular at the time. That was about all I liked on there. I think they could have a lot of energy at a live show

The Smithereens had some great straight-ahead rock songs in the late 80s/early 90s, and they still play around Chicago from time to time. I'm gonna have to catch them sooner or later.

Crap, I just remembered Los Lonely Boys are playing a festival in Hammond, right about now. Maybe next time.

You might not have missed anything. I saw them last fall, hand second row seats at the louisville Palace. They seemed like they were going through the motions. And I didn't care much for the songs off the new Cd that they played

I will say that the crowd might have had something to do with it.

It seems they have caught the 40something yuppie crowd that was there to see and be seen.

When i saw a friends' money chasing sister there I knew something wasn't right

You should be in for a good one.

I wanted to see Tab Benoit tonight but the unemployment check hasn't come yet

Too much music talk around here....back to shop talk.

I'll try another more expensive brand of tor-x bit - if that one breaks, I'm gonna drill a new hole and start from scratch with a new seat belt anchor.

Oh, I'm so handy, but that's a different thread.

Fortunately still have the same torx socket set I've owned for years. It's a Lisle or Vermont American.

How's that for shop talk?

Be thankful that the check is still coming. It's when they stop when the trouble starts....

We are fortunate to get at least 2 Tab Benoit and Jimmy Thackery together shows here in Tampa every year @ Skipper's.......

Jimmy is another one of those who never got his due. I caught one of his shows in Atlanta with TanDan and a few others. He was really smokin that night. He always does his stuff along with a taste of Dick Dale and Hendrix thrown in for good measure.......

I missed Tab when he was out here. Tinsley Ellis will be here August 9.

Looks like Tab was at Legends on Friday. He sure puts on a great show, hopefully he'll be back this winter.

It only took me one 12 gauge shot to take care of the rabid raccoon in my yard a couple years ago.

Sorry - all clock building is on hold until after the seat belt gets replaced, a wishing well gets built, a see-saw too, and the basement gets finished.

How do you folks find time to see all those performers all the time?
