Yes, that 8/31 date sure looks like a winner. I hope they are trying to get it, so we can have the Denver foothills to Aspen road trip weekend. Look out all you high rollers in Aspen. ____________________ SmilingJack |

Question is if Mule is playing the following night? And is Derek Trucks Band and Oteil & the PMs playing this yearand on what nights? Quite frankly I could go with out YMSB opening for the Brothers as they are slotted to play Sunday that weekend at RRs. |

The day that Gov't Mule closes the Jazz/Aspen?Snowmass fest, the dtb w/ Susan Tedeschi ,opens for them. While, I think it is still unknown as to who will open for the Allman Brothers. Maybe we could get Oteil there. ____________________ SmilingJack |

I will, but you guys should come up for a weekend also! I see the Mule will be in Santa Fe the day after the 2 Denver dates, and dtb with Susan Tedeschi will be there in June right before Denver. Are you going to those shows? We are going to the Denver shows.
Jack, please give Phyliss a big squashy hug from me!

I was thinking the ABB should have a travel agency so they can put together road trips for things like Red Rocks plus Snowmass (still hoping that Snowmass is not instead of RR since it is not that close, nor does Snowmass have the numbers of people). I could see a number of people who would want to just get on the tour bus the day after RR and head up to the mountains. ____________________ SmilingJack |

What a concept Jack! LOL! A convoy of us would be quite entertaining!!!
I got my Snowmass tickets but am holding off on booking all arrangements in hopes of that Red Rocks date. Wonder when they will finalize the summer tour schedule??
I'd bet that if people knew now you'd see quite a group of us jumping for JOY!!! I would think that having the two shows close in dates would make for record numbers of people coming from the West and East!! Fingers crossed!! ____________________

Yeah, I figure the package tour for Colorado would include air from wherever, then lodging at the Marriott (and/or maybe a second cheaper place) and tickets for the Red Rocks show(s). Then everyone 'could get on the bus', which would make the long drive easier-ABB/Mule playing on the dvd player, and Rocky Mountain jello shots. Get to Snowmass/Aspen in time for some sightseeing and dinner out. Wake up to the first of 2 days of shows, with another bus ride back from the mountains to a central location and/or the airport. A good tour operator could have multiple variations for each location. There aren't many other places to drive to from Denver for putting together a number of shows, but this schedule would work. There are parts of the tour where multiple shows and locations could be strung together.
Just another hippie dream! ____________________ SmilingJack |

Well, you have been in the hospital getting your 5000 mile tune up for this vacation, so let's hope for a Red Rocks date soon. I hope you realize that if we don't get a RR date, then you will just have to do Snowmass with us instead.
Mike, sounds like you need to come here for a vacation sooner, rather than later. Maybe you should get on the road early in the summer for a tune-up trip!!!! ____________________ SmilingJack |

Well I just got my Pollstar update and it looks like Gary Allen is booked at RR for 8/31.
It's actually made me feel better in a way because when all is said and done, I was going to have to pass on Red Rocks this year, too much going on here. Sooo, I guess that's officially that for me. No Aspen either. In fact, I am only able to catch one show all summer, Bushkill, but at least I have 4th row center to compensate.
To anyone heading to Aspen, have a great time! ____________________ Just be fabulous! |

I find it hard to believe that RR is not happening with a show in Aspen planned.Bumme rif it is not happening as last years RAIN could not squelch out the good vibes among the family. I'll never forget the 06 show because of all the fine bruddas and sistas I met!
They should swing down and do an evening in NM on their way to the West coast (Heres hoping) ____________________ Life is too short! Your either a brother or another |
