A buddy told me yesterday that he went to see Poison in concert in Atlanta and the singer and bass player got into a fight on stage and had to be pulled apart. He said the band left the stage but came back out and said that they were sorry it happened but that it was going to be their last show, played a few more songs and left again. That's pretty Spinal Tap!

That Spinal Tap comment is unfair--Tap had WAY more talent than Poison! I never liked Poison, arguably the worst of the 80s hair metal bands, which is saying a lot!

Did Poison ever create timeless art like "Stonehenge" or "Big Bottoms"? I think not. Rollingcrowe, you owe Spinal Tap an apology

Poison was NOT the worst of the glam bands, actually one of the better ones.....I can certainly think of worse, like let's see......Firehouse, Faster Pussycat.......

When they fought, did they pull hair? Were there spandex burns? Eye damage from makeup rub? Did any crotch accentuaters get misaligned? Who was the better slapper?

Crappy Video, but you get the point. I kind of wish I would have been there. I'm sure the "fight" was more entertaining than the show.

I''l second that!! Spinal Tap was one of the best live bands ever!
It was pure magic when they hit the stage (at least when they could find it !).

I used to spent most of the eighties in a local heavy metal / hard rock bar and i cringed every time they played Poison.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I was at the Poison show last weekend, but I'd never seen them before and the first cassette I owned was Open Up and Say Ahh (I was 9 years old in 1987). The "fight" at the end of the show was terrible. They're even worse actors than they are mucisians. I'm sure they "fight" every night right before they go off stage.

Despite their complete lack of talent either for music or acting, I still had a great time. Simple, guilty pleasure I guess.

Say what you want about the hair bands, they sure as hell brought out the slutty white chicks back in the eighties.

I say this again, keep an open mind about any genre of music, cause there has to be a slice of talent if people keep going to see them, not to mention they all sold millions and billions of records.

This is kinda sad being that CC just got clean and sober and was ready to hit the road strong... only takes one fight to break up a band, I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

I was never into those 80's hair bands, not even Bon Jovi ( and I'm from New Jersey).
But I had seen Poison on MTV unplugged and I'm a sucker for almost any song played via an acoustic guitar.

I really like that whole set they played, I have it on a CD somewhere and I listen to it often.

ps( don't tell anyone)
