I know most of us are animal lovers, but I am particularly interested in dogs.

Just think it might neat to know what kind of dogs ABB fans have!

I have a 5 yr old female boxer named sasha

I have what is called a "white collie". He's a brilliant white except around his muzzle, a small saddlebag, and his paws.
He was rescued from the streets of Warner Robins by a friend of my soon-to-be son in law, who brought him here thinking that since we have a fenced in yard and no dog, why not.
He had lost most of his fur, his ribs were showing, and he moved slowly.
Thing is, he knew all his commands, and obeyed almost instantly. His first meal here was
scrambled eggs and tuna, but he wouldn't eat with someone watching.
He's extremely picky about some things. He won't eat a steak unless it's cooked. He doesn't care for the "gourmet foods" and loves Gravy Train. He knows we keep cheese in the fridge, and asks for it by pushing the door of the fridge. When we cook bacon, he sits in the kitchen and watches the pan after we finish cooking. When he can't see smoke rising from the pan, he barks until we give him the grease poured over some dry food.
Of course he does live outside, in his doghouse, with the porch, under the pecan tree, next to his swimming pool, and a view around both sides of the house.
Oh, did I mention he has a racetrack in the backyard?

I loved that dog. Was crazy and wild just like her owner

My mom thought she was too crazy, so that's why we gave her away. I bought a bunny to replace the dog... this dude is crazy too. And twice the size of this picture now. Funny as ever.
It's pretty neat how animals have personalities, and they're really smart.

I've had dogs (big dogs) my whole life. The first word I learned to say was my dog's name. Now I have two basset hounds, Hank and Sadie.

That's foster Fred in the back. I've been a foster home for basset rescue for 5 years, and fostered 14 hounds. I prefer the seniors. I'm so over the puppy thing. I also have six cats.

That's a mighty fine pair of bassets you got there, ma'am...

I'm with you on the older dog thing. Ever since adopting two older Springers years ago, I've never want to go thru the puppy thing again.

Yes. He doesn't pee, and rarely poops around the house, if he does it's one spot, and it doesn't stain or anything... really doesn't even smell. He cleans himself, it's funny to watch him lick his paws and clean his face. Spends half his life cleaning himself.

My basset Sadie loves to dance to Romance In Durango from Dylan's Live 75. Every time she hears Scarlet Rivera's violin, she starts wigglin'! And Hank once played air drums to Kind of Blue during a hurricane...

I have an 9 year old beagle, 13-inch variety (as opposed to the 15 inch)--actually, he belongs to my daughter; he was a present for her 6th birthday. Name is Daniel. He still acts like a puppy, and is always good with kids.

Boy, he sure can give a full-throated bay whenever he smells or sees something interesting (like a passing dog, possum up a tree in the backyard, or full moon) or when he's just lonesome.
