I noticed on Ticketmaster that at least one date has been announced for Gregg Allman & Friends. January 29, 2005 at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, November 17. Hopefully this is just one of many tour dates during the early part of 2005 before the annual Beacon Run!!

I'd love to see a GA&F show in Augusta again! I saw him at Bell Auditorium in '98, and it was a great show!!

There has to be more than a one off. I would expect the group of dates to be announced soon enough....

I think it's only fair that he makes a stop in Florida since the ABB did not! Are you listening, Gregg?!

ABB420, I agree, I would love to see them play The Murat; either the theatre or Egyptian Room.

How did this happen under the radar? Did we not know Gregg would be touring? Also, do we know who the friends are?

Just check the State Theater website and it's true. Gregg Allman and Friends will be there Sunday, 30 Jan 2005. The State is an excellent venue for GA&F and I certainly expect to see a lot of old (& new) friends there.

Well dang. I'll be away the week GAF is at BBKings. Only slightly bummed since I'll be cruising the Caribe at the time so I can't really complain. Would've loved to have seen them, though. It's been a few years. GAF usually plays Westbury Music Fair on Long Island, too. But I'm assuming it'll be in the same timeframe so I'd miss that as well. Guess I'll have to check when more tour dates come out and see if there's a road trip to be planned

My last GA & Friends show was back late '97 or early '98. It was at the Roxy and it was fantastic. I just remember his version of Whipping Post being totally out of this world! It was so nasty and bluesy!

I also remember Devon's band "Darkhorse" opened for him that night. Those guys were REALLY good as well. Too bad he didn't stick with that!

Peace,
Don

If he's gonna do a tour, than he's GOTTA come to Boston!
