while f-n Skynyrd is on the stage. I guess that equates to about six more beers in the lot. So much for guest appearances from the opening band (with exception to Artimus Pyle). Speaking of guest appearances, someone told me that Branford Marsallis lives in the Raleigh area is this true? I would love to see that again.

i thought skynyrd was NOT going to tour with the abb this year. if they really are opening, i think i'll stay out in the parking lot too...

seems like i read somewhere, last year, that branford marsalis lives in durham...but i'm not totally sure 'bout that.

skynyrd's not listed as the opener on the home page here (yet) so maybe it won't happen...

Man who dreamed up that one! One good thing about ABB shows of recent days has been that there have been some good opening acts to compliment the Brothers. This is sad, disappointing and not well thought out.

I'll be in the lot with you, in spirit. Have a few for me while you're at it. Oh, wait, Skynard is opening. Better have a few more...

I've read on several occasions that Branford is from Durham. As for Skynyrd opening up, 106.1 has mentioned it a couple times briefly. I'm disappointed, but I will see them play.

I thought the LS/ABB pairing was not going to happen this year. I sure hope not, anyway.

We heard months ago that Skynyrd would play SOME shows with the ABB, including several festivals. The only thing that was completely debunked is the idea that they would be "touring together" in the sense of playing the whole summer together, like Karl Denson did last year. The dates with Los Lonely Boys and Chris Robinson opening prove that isn't the case.

Hey Michael,

I know it's probably a school night, but if you're willing to head on to Nissan (Nazi) Pavilion we have Little Feat as the opener. It's a pity that Little Feat couldn't do Raleigh and Charlotte in addition to Bristow (Nissan) as they would make fine weekend run of shows.
