If anything, Robert Mueller has proven to be the most sane, centered, and responsible public servant involved in government since the 2016 election. Thank you Mr. Mueller for a job well done.

I'll second your observation.....and thank you Mr. Mueller. Your efforts may yet save the Republic from the treacherous con-man presently occupying the White House.

Why didnt Trump just support the Russia probe, the team definitely found Russian espionage. That could be the tip of the iceberg on Russian cyber warfare. He could have just said look this has zero to do with me or my staff, but Muellers doing a great job, findings show the Russians are doing some bad things so lets go after them on this.

That approach would have defused the collusion hoohah and put the spotlight on the Russians.

Yep, like those guys - keep the focus on the Russians instead of letting them pull our strings. They are probably pretty happy that the US is reeling from their psy-ops.

Bingo....Pretty obvious approach....Unless you're guilty of crimes that may be revealed due to such an investigation. As we know now, thanks mostly to Mueller, there's crimes galore committed by not only Trump, but many of the shysters who worked for and with him going back years and more recently.

I'd say for the $40 million it cost, the investigation was a bargain given the number of people convicted and that in the end Paul Mannafort paid the tab anyway...And then there's the additional evidence of the Russian involvement in the election itself. How do you even put a price tag on that?

Either way, whether or not he is hiding anything, it would look a lot better if he showed some interest in the evidence of Russian cyberattacks, and took a leadership role in retaliation. All this defensive lashing out behavior just makes him look awful.

Agreed....Although his supporters don't seem to understand your point. As I indicated earlier in this thread, his oh so sensitive ego won't allow the rest of his mind to actually carry out what most view as the most important role of the presidency. That of defending the nation...cyber war included.

For all his bluster about his love and appreciation of the military, whenever that supposed love clashes head long with his own interests/ego, he abdicates to what's best for Donald Trump. What kind of leadership is that?

I always get a kick when a Trumpkin says they like him because "he says what he mean and means what he says" and "tells it like it is". When he then says something bat **** stupid they pivot to "watch what he does not what he says". In 2007 he was asked about the job that Speaker Pelosi was doing. He said she was doing a "fantastic" job but his only regret was that she had not tried to impeach Bush. In 2008 he said it would not matter if it was an Obama/Hillary ticket or a Hillary/Obama because either way it would be one of the strongest tickets ever. In late 2008 when Hillary was being considered as Sec. of State he said he thought she would make a fantastic Sec. of State because she's a tough negotiator although he admitted to being biased because she was a "close personal friend". In 2009 as Obama was working his 800 billion stimulus blowout through Congress he said O was showing "strong leadership". After the 2012 election he said Romney was "to mean" to the Mexicans. Remember he knows what he thinks and says what he means and means what he says and tells it like it is. I think Trump and Obama are way more alike than either of their fanboys and fangirls could ever admit to themselves. The vacuous egotistical nonsense of "We are the ones we have been waiting for"(Obama '08) could only be matched by "I alone can fix it" (Trump '16). Look at how Obama pulled all Troops out of Iraq in 2011 in spite of the fact that the Sec. of State, the SecDef, the NSA, the head of CIA, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs all opposed it. After a nice phone call with Erdogan Trump decides to pull all troops out of Syria leading the first resignation of a SecDef over policy differences in U.S. history. In both cases the two incompetent egomaniacs in chief are sure that they are right even though they never served and wouldn't know the business end of a rifle from their ass. Obama had his 800 billion "shovel ready" boondoggle and now Trump has a chat with Chuck and Nancy and says he wants to go for1-1.5 trillion. And now Republicans who screamed bloody murder about debt and deficits under Obama ? Crickets. And Democrats who mocked Romney for saying Russia was our number one geopolitical foe see more Russians under their beds than Joe McCarthy ever dreamed of in his worst drunken fantasies.

i havenít heard one single person mention this. right-wing and left-wing media and Twitter does not accurately reflect the people of this country. i think you hear this on your favorite radio station, or saw a few tweets, and mistakingly believe itís real, when in reality itís nothing more than click-bait that you are falling for. Iíve seen quite a few posters here freak out over a trending tweet, and attribute the thought to an entire political party. Makes me laugh.

explain to me how this is different from what Fox News did to Obama.

this is obviously an emotional knee jerk reaction to conservatism being less popular on college campuses. college isnít a popularity contest.

Again I'm an Independent. I seek logic in all issues. Our Country has massive debt, We need to curb our spending. We have homeless issues in this Country, but our laws entice massive migration with promises of free healthcare, free college, free legal services, free everything. It's magnetic clamoring. I'm just Joe Schmo who had to borrow 200K to help my kids. I am not rich, I get by, but my FAFSA info stated that my kids could borrow 20% of the college costs and the other 80% was called the "Expected Family Contribution" and they'd loan that "EFC" to me at double the present loan interest rates? How American is that? If colleges become "free" and Gov' subsidized the costs would be even more rampant. The current plan is everyone who gets here can just be claimed as dependents no matter if you want to support them or not.

Work harder.

agreed. but remember that all 24-hour cable news is bogus, including Fox News. anyone who canít see that deserves their struggles.

My mind rambles and I at times babble, I'm just sharing my thoughts (perhaps oversharing?). I live my life with love, logic, and reason. Mueller became a puppet. Short and simple, no multi topic babble, Love To All!

your posts do not describe someone living with love and logic. Decorated American war hero Mueller hasnít satisfied either party with his report, but you trash him anyway because he did something you didnít like. We are all regular Joeís, but you believe you know the inner-workings of the U.S. government and know the character of our highest-ranking officials, and allow yourself to get all worked up over it - how nonsensical and illogical.

no wonder you like Trump. you both act like unhinged babies when something doesnít go your way. and now the classic post-and-run when faced with questions. whatever floats your boat.

keep telling your kids what they can and cannot watch - thatís a great strategy thatís sure to work. the violent movies and video games arenít the threat to them.

I typed for 45 min's to retort this, hit reply, and was timed out. Ugh. Perhaps it's best.

Arg! Post obliteration! Brutal! That used to happen to me way back, until it dawned on me that folks cared about as much about my opinions as I cared about theirs. Have saved a lot of breath since.

Anybody remember the old Listserve? The rule was, if a post angers you, wait 24 hours to respond. That way you can write down what you want to say, and type in what you wrote, and you can change stuff you realize you don't want to say.

Seems like the Dems are trying to wipe them out, or at least to stop them from the 1st amendment rights.

You must have really hated Obama then. The national debt almost doubled under his leadership.

You might want to note that most of that debt under Obama occurred while the economy was in shambles as he took over. Trump's has occurred while the economy has been buzzing, which is when you should be paying it down. Trump promised eliminating the national debt, but instead it is at a record high. The deficit at least decreased at a downward trend for most of Obama's years. That is long gone. The years of Republicans being the party of fiscal responsibility are long over. We now have two parties, the tax and spend party and the spend and spend party.
