You need a place to download them to first then use the IMG /IMG HTML tags in a post to reference them

I was there in December and the whole area where Gregg is was torn up. There was that old construction plastic erected around Gregg's grave with a bunch of artificial flowers inside it. It was hard to look at. And now this is the finished deal? I'm sorry, but that stone work is lame. Looks like what you'd see at the Freebird Trailer Park. Why didn't they just lay sod? I'm very disappointed. The Brothers deserve better than that.

Yes more work should be done, but notice that they left space between Gregg and Duane, and you know who it is for, when his time comes. So I don't think they are done with landscaping or anything else.

Although I don't do it professionally, I pride myself on my landscape rock work. Even with rough shape stones, there can be many hours laying out and fitting with least gaps. In humid Georgia, a ground fabric and some type filler material (small round rock as example) in gaps will prevent a maintenance nightmare with weeds and grass between. I hate to be negative on such a sacred topic, but I will say it could be more artistic in layout.

The site sure has changed over the years. I first visited in the early 80s and have been there several times since. I was surprised that Gregg wasn't buried right next to Duane, but at the time there were steps between the sites that are now combined into one site. Maybe there are plans to change the configuration or maybe Mama A will be between them. I don't know. The guy working at the Big House said he expected all of the original members to be buried there.

The big House visit, lunch at H&H and visiting Rose Hill were all worth the trip and I hope to do it again in a couple of years.

You may very well be right, gina. It should look like Duane and Berry's plots, I think. Earthwise.

Look at the two big bushes behind Duane and Berry's headstones. That could be continued on down the way. I just want it to look good.

Well, thereís certainly enough space for all 6 of the originals, but who really knows if that will happen for sure? If it does, I believe they might then be the first rock band in popular music history to get buried together, no?

Thatíd be a pretty unique distinction to say the least. Just donít put Dickey next to Butch!
But I guess at that point, who the hell cares!!

But if not all there, thatís gonna be kind of a strange layout. Obviously still a work in progress.

Would be cool to see them all together where it began.....EVENTUALLY......No Rush DB or JJ

I think Butch was cremated. And I remember reading when they complete the site post Gregg's death they will invite Butch to be moved there. That would mean just two more graves but let's hope Dickey and Jaimoe are around to see 80 and beyond.

I think Duane stayed at the funeral home until Berry died. Then they were buried together and of course Rose Hill was selected because the band use to hang there. Dickey wrote Elizabeth Reed there. He was two timing Boz Scaggs with Boz' girlfriend and wrote the song with her in mind but couldn't name it for her so he noticed In Memory of Elizabeth Reed on the tombstone.

Looks like ABB management had a hand in GAís final resting place. Completely half-assed and bewildering. Iím With Wooddog on this one.... for someone as revered as GA...on such hallowed grounds, frequented by fans all over....literally a point of interest for tourism revenue in Macon, GA; SURELY they could have done better than this? I mean...Iím certain that there is a talented landscape architect who happens to be a big ABB fan who would have jumped at the opportunity to be involved. Given it would be a unique resume booster...probably would have worked for peanuts. SMDH...
