I went to two of Clapton's "last" east coast dates. I am glad I went, but cannot justify the money to see him again for the last time. It's nice to see he has added another guitar player to the band.

Eric & Doyle feed off one another. Not sure what EC has left in the tank at this point and have also
seen enough shows that I don't need to see these nor MSG shows that happen. Want to see EC
at his best, i love you tubing

Three shows in three different cities in four nights. That's pretty ambitious at his age. I wish him the best.

Yeah, concert ticket prices for the big acts are out of control but compared to some of his contemporaries those prices are actually not that out of line. All relative I suppose.

I am with you though as I will not spend that kind of $$$ to go see him. I will stick with bands like Govt Mule, Allman Betts, North Mississippi Allstars etc. who charge reasonable prices

Yeah,I agree. Unless it's low cost shows, for me, I don't know how people afford all the concerts they go to . I guess if you pay those exorbitant amounts it's worth it to you. The prices will keep escalating long as people keep feeding in.

Plus 1. I seen him in 95 on the “From The Cradle” tour with Clarance “Gatemouth” Brown as the opener. Really good show.

I went to the first two shows at Royal Albert Hall and thoroughly enjoyed them after being disappointed by the last MSG show. Maybe it was because it was my first time at RAH and it is a smaller venue, We sat in the 10th row for the first show and upstairs for the 2nd show. There were two songs that were different between the both nights and Purple Rain was also performed at the 3rd show after not being performed the first night.

Here is the thing with Clapton, he is not the guitar hero he was back in the day. But he is relaxed in his playing, turns it on when necessary, and is completely comfortable letting Doyle Bramhall taking over 60% of the lead playing. We thought the second night the band was better than the first.

He is in the twilight of his career, Go see him if you have a chance. I regret not buying a pair of 150 dollars seats for the Crossroads show in Dallas for the 2nd night. If I can get a decent pair at a reasonable price, I will be there.

Doyle can play and one of my favorites is Got to get better in a little while 2013 from Crossroads. EC shines and then throws Doyle a serious bone at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efFo-Clq844
