Below are quotes from GOP Senator, Ben Sasse validating accuracy of the NY Times Op Ed and referred to Trump's leaderrship as running the country as a soap opera. Hey...he's a Republican but not a sheep for Trump.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------

Senator Ben Sasse said on Thursday that the account of a White House “resistance” effort published in an anonymous New York Times op-ed was “troubling but not unsurprising.”

“It’s just so similar to what so many of us hear from senior people around the White House, you know, three times a week,” the Nebraska Republican said during an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewit.

Mr. Sasse explained that about two-thirds of the senior officials express the same views as the one expressed in the controversial op-ed, but said it was “unhelpful” to publish them anonymously.

The New York Times published an anonymous op-ed from a mysterious senior administration official on Wednesday, sparking a surge of anxiety and rumors about who the author might be.

The writer described a chaotic White House under Mr. Trump’s tenure, and acts taken by officials embedded into the administration to undermine some of the president’s actions that are “detrimental to the health of our republic.”

“I don’t understand the morality of why anyone would write the piece, because it seems pretty obvious to me that what it’s going to do is foster more paranoia,” he said.

However, Mr. Sasse said it is clear the White House “doesn’t work together well” and denounced the constant infighting within the topmost ranks in the Trump administration.

The Republican senator said any call to invoke the 25th amendment should have been made public because it will distract the public and the administration from improving. Instead, it made the president focus on “running around doing an interrogation of everybody.”

Mr. Sasse said the constant “drama” coming out of the White House including everything from the scandalous accusations made in new books and the sensational Cohen and Manafort cases “exhausts” the public.

“And I know that the founders would regard anything like this as you know, really unhelpful. You don’t run the country as a soap opera,” he said.

That evangelical crowd would love to see pence in there. They know he couldn’t have won himself.

Just like GOP Senator Ben Sasse stated, fellow GOP Senator, Bob Corker agrees that the OP Ed is no surprise as he has heard the concern from WH insiders. See quotes below. Congress knows it, but most of the GOP are along for the ride until they get voted out of office. They are enablers at the time the country needs the legislative branch to stand up to the lunatic in chief.

“I am not a fan of anonymous op-eds, but I don’t think those of us who have worked closely with people in the White House are surprised by the content," Corker, a Republican who shares long-running beef with Trump, said in a statement Thursday.

Later that afternoon, amid the search within the White House for the anonymous op-ed author, Corker told CNN he believed any number of staffers could have written it.

"I think the biggest issue they’re going to have is figuring out who wouldn’t have written a letter like that," Corker said.

In the piece, titled "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration," the anonymous author wrote that many of Trump's senior officials are "working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations" on issues ranging from free trade to military policy.

Corker's statement this week echoed similar comments he made in the last year, such as when he said Trump's threats toward other countries could set the U.S. “on the path to World War III," or called the White House an "adult day care center."

In October, while noting that he believed Trump was "devolving" as president, Corker said Trump officials had reached out to him asking that he stand up to Trump.

"I’ve had multiple occasions where the staff has asked me to intervene, (Trump) was getting ready to do something that was really off the tracks," Corker said at the time.

You picked two Republicans that even the Republicans ignore.

Senators Ben Sasse and Bob Corker.
One RINO and one on his way out the door.
