FWIW, I will state that over the years Vince has been extremely consistent on his views on illegal immigration. If a person was purple and illegal, his issue would be that the person was illegal.

That's not right at all. I'd be more concerned that THE PERSON WAS PURPLE! Holy crap call a DOCTOR!

Can you imagine what this would do to the Republican Party if they were still rooted in family values and such?

The irony is that Trump has Pence, as the VP - someone who "claims" to be some big morality type. All you ever see is Pence on his knees giving accolades to Trump. What a hypocrite.

The gutter-mind of Trump was literally manipulated by tabloid trash.

I never understood this logic. One day the right is claiming that liberals live in the most dangerous cities in the country, like Chicago and Philadelphia, and that liberal policies make them so dangerous. They claim that liberals want to house dangerous immigrants in these cities. But then the next day they say liberals need safe spaces. Which is it? And wouldn't it be the conservatives that need their safe spaces, since they long for the White-America old days, a Muslim travel ban, and a border wall? Each side surely has their flaws, but if any side needs a safe space, I think the picture is pretty clear.

Sorry to interrupt this fascinating digression into the metaphysics of "safe spaces" and dangerous cities and liberals and conservatives and that, but I wanted to mention a strange and kinda disturbing thing I saw recently re Stormy Daniels.

She did a performance at a strip club here, a no count seedy little sh*thole. It made the headlines of the regional paper, full color photo of a huge line to get in. Folks in the line were not your typical sportsbar guys - there were matronly bluehaired elderly women, dignified conservative looking old men, and a mix of folks, just weird, lining up for a strip show.

Struck me as odd, like what's the draw? Just because she is famous all these folks suddenly develop an interest in the local strip club?

Is this thing somehow legitimizing this kind of entertainment? Also had me wondering if the infatuation with the president has caused these folks to be fascinated with anything associated with him, and Daniels is some kind of demigoddess in their pantheon, 'the mortal woman who had sex with Zeus'.

Or maybe it is all just very tawdry and mundane, carnival sideshow, rubes flocking to see the tabloid freak. Hard to fathom that we are really that comfortably dumb.

Stranger than fiction.

Nowhere do I refer to the color of anyone's skin, but you sure have.

You can't wait around for folks to admit they are racist because you'll be waiting forever. It's an obnoxious game conservatives like to play. Some reading between the lines is required.

I just want to get this straight. Are you calling me a racist?

The actual racists, the lefties will never admit they are racist but are quick to call anyone that thinks differently than they do a racist.

I have proven it many time here in the WP.
The mass murder of black people, predominately in the cities run by democrats is just fine with them. They never are repulsed but are quick to condemn the posting of those facts.

I find the diametric converse of this to be the case. The only people here, or anywhere, that I have ever heard admit to their racist programming are moderately left of center politically. The more conservative you are, the more you claim immunity from the systemic institutionalized racism that affects us all.

It is weird. It is like everything that used to be bad (or, at least hidden) by the folks who would look up to a guy like Pence, is now some kind of virtue. Ignorance? Blatant lying? Vulgarity? Rushing to judgment without facts? Bragging about sexual assault? Porn stars? Adultery with porn stars? Somehow, ANYTHING that Trump does is instantly acceptable and amazing to the followers of this cult of personality. I am sure Pence's wife is having a great time these days - surely, this is not what she signed up for.

Thx for acknowledging. Honestly at this point it is beyond political. Believe me, the photo of this line to see Daniels was surreal. This is a rural very conservative part of the state, Trump country mostly, adult commerce is hush hush, invisible, then presto, a huge line at the strip club, could have been a photo of people in line for the VFW family pancake feed. Just disturbing.

The people waiting for the VFW pancakes now have to question whether John McCain deserves any credit as a VFW because he was captured and tortured in order to bend their reality in favor of some chump who said dodging STDs was "his personal Vietnam". BIZARRO WORLD!

Truth, seen. Just trying to not let it get to me, because it's for real creepy, this whole thing is starting to seem like a Stephen King novel. If Trump isn't the Antichrist , at the very least he is the harbinger. I'll admit it, these cats are scaring me. Never felt that way during any admin my whole life, back to Kennedy.

You're going to need to explain this. You're the one who voted the tabloid trash into office. It wasn't the lefties who voted for him.

Simple answer: They just wanted to see what Trump got into.

Rural ranch country here, these folks weren't decked out like that, just normal cowboy style, decent elderly conservative middle class.

I see what you are getting at, but they were not your typical friday night yahoos was my point.
