Am I the only one that thinks this tune is vastly underrated in the ABB catalog?

Ditto here too. I think it was written by Johnny Neal who gave it to Dickey who made some changes to a few words and the tempo including that cool intro and coda. Shortly after Seven Turns cane out, Dickey, Warren and Allen added a backing vocal to it which I thought made it better.

Kind of reminiscent of Dickey's "Loverman" on "Pattern Disruptive"

Oh, I like the song too

Always been my favorite tune off of Seven Turns. Some of those 91/92 versions are incredible. Glad Warren & Derek dusted it off late in their run. Totally agree, BIGV, I remember spinning Patterns Disruptive and digging "Loverman" thinking, "this arrangement sounds mighty familiar." Works as kind of a demo for "Low Down".

How about The Heat is On? Only Dickey could do a song like that, and it is soooo credible!

I love Seven Turns. I remember when I bought my first version of it. Pulled into a gas station just south of The Mackinaw Bridge in Michigan. They had this little rack of cassette tapes at the checkout counter. I think they were like $1.99 or something. Bought it, popped it into the cassette deck in the car (remember those?) and couldn't believe how great it was.

Other than a few of the radio 70s stuff I knew nothing about them at the time. That was the start of it for me.

That's a very cool way to get turned on - thanks for sharing
