He does not have the authority or the money to do it. He has abused the taxpayers for his own personal gain. |

Well if we can send them to Afghanistan, privatizing the military, they can privitize other parts of the govt. and probably do it cheaper. Sure Congress would have to vote on it and they can't get much done but considering all the opposition he has, he could have former military and/or others protect him for less than the Secret Service cost to do it. ____________________ "Mankind is a single nation" "Allah did not make you a single people so he could try you in what he gave you, to him you will all return, he will inform you where you differed". Why would you think that would be cheaper? Why would you think that would work better? It would cost far more and push the responsibility to people untrained for the job. And, it would have to be approved by Congress and funded by Congress. It makes absolutely no sense. |

The Secret Service is not out of money.
The corrupt liberal media has picked another nonsense issue to misrepresent the facts and not mention the regulations that apply.
What are the regulations that apply to this matter and how are they adaptable for the circumstances?
The corrupt liberal media omitted them in their hit-piece.
Now sit back and watch kids and the far-leftists go silent because they have no idea. the corrupt liberal media failed to tell them.

Anyone else want to try?

Had you bothered to read the link, which we know you are too lazy to do, you would have seen this:
Secret Service Director Randolph "Tex'' Alles, in an interview with USA TODAY, said more than 1,000 agents have already hit the federally mandated caps for salary and overtime allowances that were meant to last the entire year.
The agency has faced a crushing workload since the height of the contentious election season, and it has not relented in the first seven months of the administration. Agents must protect Trump – who has traveled almost every weekend to his properties in Florida, New Jersey and Virginia – and his adult children whose business trips and vacations have taken them across the country and overseas.
Did Alles lie? know. Fox News reported the same thing. But you are too lazy to do any research.

What's wrong with we the taxpayers footing the bill for his kids jet setting around the world.? It's not like the Trumps are billionaires.
C'mon...why would be upset with talk of cuts to social programs as long as Don Jr. and Eric can party around the world? We need to make good use of taxpayer dollars.

Then he says none of us has a clue. You can't make this stuff up. |

The CNBC article left out something.
"Allies cited overall increases to his agency's staff levels, which grew by 800 this year, as a factor driving the extra costs, calling the issue "not one that can be attributed to the current administration's protection requirements alone."
The WAPO article also stated: " Allies called the agency's current predicament, first reported by USA Today, "an ongoing issue for nearly a decade due to an overall increase in operational tempo."

Did you miss the part "an ongoing issue for nearly a decade"? You don't think that problem was caused by the Obama family going on vacation, personal trips by his family, and jaunts to Hawaii? Trump hasn't been president for ten years, but Obama was for the past eight. ____________________ All photos posted of family, friends, and places, including those of historic ABB value, by this poster are copyrighted by the poster, or posted by permission of the copywriter.

The secret service is on pace to spend more protecting Trump in his first year than they spent for all 8 years for Obama, but by all means let's blame Obama anyway since you are apparently unable to criticise Trump for anything.

We could partially since Obama was in office for half of January.
Again, you want to blame Trump, even thought the same problem has come up for the past ten years. ____________________ All photos posted of family, friends, and places, including those of historic ABB value, by this poster are copyrighted by the poster, or posted by permission of the copywriter.
