Who are some of your favorite players? I really like Ace. Butterfield, Cotton, and Little Walter.

Toot Thielmans from a different school, as well.

I know there are tons of others. Just opening things up...

Who else?

eap,
Steve

I always really liked Alan Wilson aka the Blind Owl of Canned Heat fame. He could really bend some notes!

He & Norton Buffalo did an awesome dueling harps part at a Music Hall show in Boston back in the day (around when Fly Like An Eagle was out)

also Rick Estrin, the singer/harp player in Little Charlie & the Nightcats

"On the lickin' stick, Mr. Magic Dick" -- he's tops in my book

Howard Levy from the Flecktones. (Not the first that would come to mind, but of the ones not already mentioned....)

Mick Jagger. Seriously.

Good call on Rick Estrin. Charlie Batty (guitarist for Little Charlie & the Night Cats) is also a great harp player.

Little Walter & Junior Wells are right there w/Sonny Boy Williamson -- then James Cotton.......
Magic Dick really got me into all these players -- his harp playing in J. Geils was The Bomb
Didn't know Charlie Baty was a harp player too Rusty -- his guitar solo on Ten Years Ago, from their live record -- fan-tastic
