The redesign of the website along with new pictures seems to be a good sign !

I am guessing the album isn't coming out in January? I would think we would have heard something by now.

.....and i'm seeing quite a few tour dates for 2017 on his page, hope they go a little smoother than the end of '16.

+2 -- the new album is hardly front and center news on the new website -- guessing it might be released to coincide with the June 2017 tour

Most of all, be well bro. Gregg & thank you for your music

Gregg's new website states that his new album will be released in January 2017 (see below)...is that not correct/current?

"Gregg Allman’s new record, Southern Blood, is set for release in January 2017. "

This is Butch's opinion on Gregg.

But I'm not Gregg, Butch, related to Gregg, or a member of the band. Merry Christmas everyone.

It's said that for awhile. I would figure if it was a January release date, three would be some pre-order options on other sites and some promo information already sent out.

I figure the new album will be released just prior to Gregg resuming touring. Hope he bounces back. His health has been so up and down over the last number of years and often complicated (IMO) by him getting back on the road too soon (I'm not a doctor but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night). I'm glad he's resting for real this time and I'm looking forward to the new record in 2017.

Yes -- one would think they'd release it if it was finished -- what's more odd is the lack of info about it -- there was quite a prerelease buzz about LCB (well deserved too) -- nothing this time out tho -- all that said, much gratitude Gregg for your music bro

Bob Cousins - whom I do not know - posted on FB that it is accurate - I called him out on posting something that has not been confirmed

In a facebook group about Gregg I'm in, it is confirmed that Gregg's in hospice. I'm sad but I am grateful that I got a chance to see Gregg live more times than any other musician, both with the Allmans and his band.

How is it "confirmed"? Was it Gregg's wife or one of his kids, or maybe his manager or PR rep in the FB group? I don't doubt he could well be in hospice, so not trying to appear argumentative, but "confirmed" is a strong word that I would think only a few people could do.

It's not official yet, but he's in hospice and this should not be a shock or surprise to anyone.

On his facebook page: A message from Gregg: “Hey everyone. I just wanted y’all to know that I’m currently home in Savannah resting on my doctor’s orders. I want to thank you for all the love that you are sending. Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Keep Rockin’ “
