Did anyone else watch this on HBO last night? I saw it and really enjoyed it. I'm a big music fan, and it was interesting to watch something that focused more on the business side. I hope the rest of the show is as good.

Wish I could agree. Am a biiiig fan of most all of HBO's original programming. I think the casting is great and I obviously love the subject matter. Was super stoked to see the first episode (along with Showtime's roadies that is also coming sometime in 2016.) However, it just seemed to lack something. I can't put my finger on it, but it just didn't wow me. I'll keep watching... hopefully it'll pick up some momentum.

I caught the premier last night and enjoyed it....Until the end. A little too far fetched but on the whole I thought it was entertaining for sure.

I also was impressed with the casting and it's nice to see Ray Romano as well as two actors from the Sopranos making a return to TV. And how about Dice Clay with a decent dramatic performance?

Also, is that Mick's real life son? Must be as he sure looks and acts very similar to Mick.

I saw the last 30 minutes only.
Will HBO replay the episode?

this episode (ep3) made me think about work.....and how hard those bitching want to work to achieve what they are bitching about.....what people will compromise to achieve greater success

how much crap they will take to achieve it

compromising what they believe....not compromising with others

this is not a documentary.......the negative reviews are bullsh!t

I have generally enjoyed this. Entertaining if you don't take it literally, it is not a doc.

I am finally up to date on this series and its growing on me.
Dice Clay and Bo Dietl were interesting characters.
Also got a Good Rats mention.
Cool show.

After last nights show I am not sure I can handle anymore stupidity from the lead character. Getting tough to buy in on the story (for me anyway).

The fact he could build up a successful label and then all of a sudden make bad decision after bad decision seems a tad too much fiction for shock sake for me.

I'll continue to watch the car wreck but show is getting too over the top for me.

I agree, the show is not very realistic at all. Although I'm still watching, I'm very disappointed in the show thus far, especially considering who's behind it.

I don't have HBO so my only exposure to this was when I was in a hotel in Atlanta last month.

And my verdict is that Olivia Wilde looks UN - FOCKING - BELIEVABLE....

I agree completely. Also, his partners are total effups as well. I must say they are trying to get the music right and the characters who played Bowie, Buddy Holly and Elvis were perfect.

As well as the guy who plays Alice Cooper. I thought he was perfect - to me, he looked exactly like him, even SOUNDED like him when he was in conversation.

I thought so too. Plus they make an effort to have band members that look like the real ones. Both the guys from Cooper and Lou Reed's band even down to an Indian Bassist that looked like Prakish John. Many people would probably never even notice.

I am on the fence. Not crazy about it nor do I dislike it. Guess I was expecting more.

Better than reality TV.

Why does the main character yell and look out of control whenever he does a line of coke? You would think that previous coke use would have enlightened them all.

LOL, yea, he always looks like he's snorting coke cut with fiberglass.

I'm betting it's exceptionally good coke....As far as his constant bad decisions, I think that's partly the result of chronic abuse of the aforementioned extremely pure coke. Horrible drug, cocaine...

Yeah, pretty spot on. The show is entertaining and there is some attention paid to detail, so I'll keep watching. Of the 7 episodes, I've seen 4 or 5....I love that they are showcasing some famous peeps, makes you wonder who else might be seen.....

"Ain't Wastin' Time No More" was featured prominently in espisode 10, the season finale, which was broadcasted last weekend. It was the soundtrack to 3 different scenes. Very cool!

Have only seen the first four episodes and the show has been hit or miss for me. Would like them to do a series based on Olivia Wilde's character. It would be about her experiences in the 60's.

How come every character in a movie or tv show that agree's to be wired up and spill the beans on the mob ends up saying nothing new to see here? Hmmm wonder what will happen next?

I don't think I would be meeting the cops in a biker bar and sitting at the bar talking to the cop about what so and so has been up to in front of the bartender.

Last episode was decent, not too far fetched.
