After watching Hillary on Meet the Press this morning I doubt very much that she will be our next President. In her interview she oozed the deceit and shrewdness that cause so many think she is untrustworthy. I donít think she can change her tendency to prevaricate, and in the end all but the most ardent supporters will be turned off. Iíd love to see Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden get the nomination but it will probably go to Hillary due to the lack of a strong challenge within the party. However I donít think she is electable in the general because people do not trust her.

Jeb Bush has had a lackluster campaign thus far. He seems indifferent and overwhelmed by the strong campaigns of outsiders Trump, Carson, and Fiorina, and even though those campaigns will likely fizzle the damage to Bush will be done. If nominated he would probably beat Hillary, but itís doubtful that heíll get the nomination. At this point I think that may go to Kasich because the Republicans will realize he is the most electable, but itís way too soon to say. If one of the tea party candidates get the nomination it will be very interesting to see a general election between two major candidates that each are a turn off to a large portion of the electorate.

Whatever happens, I think itís a pretty sure bet that the Clinton/Bush dynasty will not resume in 2016. All of this is just my opinion of course and is subject to change as the campaign progresses. Your thoughts?

Look for Hillary Clinton to re-re-re-re-launch her shrinking campaign again soon.

She enlisted the help of Steven Spielberg in an attempt to make her seem more likeable.
The candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination was urged to seek help by her husband Bill Clinton - and he told her: 'Letís ask Steven for help'.

So their friend Spielberg provided acting coaches to help Hillary prepare for speeches.
But the sessions came to an abrupt end after Hillary took her frustrations out on a camera and knocked it off its tripod.

While Jeb Bush has solid actual policies and an extensive and successful Governorship legacy his personality is just not the celebrity, bombastic and superficial one that the mainstream media demands.

I agree. Neither Clinton nor Bush will be elected President in 2016.

But never fail to check the poll of the hour.

"FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON is blaming Republicans and the media for the email controversy related to his wife Hillary Clinton, a Democratic presidential candidate, saying the GOP has led a 'full-scale frontal assault' on her campaign, evoking the former first ladyís comments during a 1998 interview when she said a 'vast, right-wing conspiracy' was at the heart of an alleged campaign against the Clintons by their political rivals."

Oh this just keeps getting better all the time.

I noticed Bill Clinton didn't mention anything about his adultery or lying under oath or the fact that Hillary had the private server setup and was using her unsecure email system for State Department business and sending and receiving compartmentalized classified documents and then lied about it repeatedly.

Yea, her self-inflicted problems are all the fault of The Republicans and the media.

The Clintons have the same affliction Obama suffers from: never take responsibility for your own failures and blame it all on your political opponents.

I too watched Meet the Press this A.M. I thought the interview with Fiorina was telling. 1) She continues to mischaracterize her reign at HP and the tremendous failures to the company & investors. She has talking point answers - mostly centering around relative performance. The HP downsizing and shipping jobs elsewhere are not points in her favor. 2) She would not back down on the Planned Parenthood claims even when challenged about the false statements she has made, doctored videos, and fact checks. She was defiant & did not come off as believable nor convincing.

Basically she came off as a negative interview. She may be an "outsider", but the going may get a lot tougher for her the longer she stays in the race with the record and distortions she's attempting to explain away or not answer. She's serving herself up as a snack for Trump.

Right now she is riding a wave of popularity from the last debate because she managed to poke Trump in the eye when the other candidates have been unable to do so. She won that battle and is enjoying her 15 minutes. But she is basically an empty candidate and will soon be swept aside. If the Planned Parenthood nonsense doesn't bring her down something else will. She hasn't been subject to the scrutiny of a front-runner yet, but she will be if she hangs around.

My idea of term limits would be eight years, prez, house, senate.

NO ONE from your immediate family would EVER be able to hold any of those elected positions.

EVER.

To hell with family dynasties and the culture of the ruling elite.

Have the Clintons really had a dynasty? President Clinton served two terms and Hillary hasn't been elected to any office.

The Bush family goes all the way back to Preston. Those folks are lifetime politicians. That family does represent a dynasty of political power that the Clinton family can't touch.

She's NOT likeable. She's not funny. She's not personable. She's not charismatic or inspiring. She's none of those things. Her greatest attribute has been being Bill's wife. They should just let her be her real self and concentrate on her strengths as a candidate, whatever that might be.

Thank you. Forgot about that. It didn't last very long, did it?

I still wouldn't call it a dynasty. The Bush family has been in positions of great political power for generations. Not so the Clintons.

For the record - I still do not support Hillary.

IMO, there's still a more than solid chance that either Hillary or Jeb is the nominee. Just never know until the primaries start. In 2008, John McCain came out of nowhere. That all happened so fast a lot of folks in the GOP felt like they had been blindsided by a truck.

People love to call Joe Biden dumb, but his holdout until it actually really matters is brilliant. You can't be a part of a clown party if you haven't joined the circus.

Ah the liberal kids are still crying.

Incapable of crafting an argument or even expressing an intelligent opinion, they take the low-road and hurl personal attacks.

Mr. Trump likes to talk about the polls. A lot. Let's see if he talks about this one...

quote:
Poll: Clinton tops Trump in general election

Washington (CNN)Hillary Clinton would beat Donald Trump in a general election match-up if the election were held today, a new poll shows.

Clinton beats Trump, 49% to 39%, head-to-head. She would be neck-and-neck with other GOP contenders -- including former tech CEO Carly Fiorina (45% to Clinton's 44%), retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (46% to Clinton's 45%), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (44% to Clinton's 45%).

But if Vice President Joe Biden runs for president, he'd enter the race as the most popular presidential candidate, according to the NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey.

Clinton's favorability rating is underwater: 39% of voters view her favorably, while 47% say they see the former secretary of state unfavorably.

But Trump's problem is much bigger. He's seen favorably by 25% of the general electorate, compared to unfavorably by 58%.

Biden, meanwhile, is the most popular potential candidate -- in part because he hasn't taken the shots that he'd be hit with if he were to enter the race. He's viewed favorably by 40% compared to unfavorably by 28%.

Another Democratic candidate, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, is also popular, at 32% favorable versus 22% unfavorable.

The most popular Republican is Carson, whose 29% favorability rating outpaces his 21% unfavorability rating. He's followed by Fiorina (27% to 20%).

The poll shows Clinton with a 7-point lead among national Democrats, at 42% to Sanders' 35% and Biden's 17% and

Trump leads among Republicans, at 21% to Carson's 20%, with Fiorina and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tying at 11%, followed by Bush's 7%, Ohio Gov. John Kasich's 6% and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's 5%.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie are at 3% each, while former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is at 2%.

The general election poll was conducted September 20-24, surveying a total of 1,000 adults for a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points; the Democratic poll surveyed 256 primary voters for a margin of error of plus or minus 6.13 percentage points; and the Republican poll surveyed 230 primary voters for a margin of error of plus or minus 6.46 percentage points.

And Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson beat Hillary Clinton:

"Carly Fiorina (45% to Clinton's 44%), retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (46% to Clinton's 45%),"

These polls don't mean anything over 5 months before "Super Tuesday".
