My theory is that they currently have on their schedule "the last allman brothers show" and that will, of course, drive ticket sales. They won't say anything official until "the last allman brothers show" is over, so they can have another "last allman brothers show" and sell more tickets to the shows they add to the end of the 4 shows that they need to make up, which would drive ticket sales through the roof for the new "last allman brothers show".

Or they will cancel.

its getting seriously hard to care at this point.

DEAR ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND, GET A PUBLICIST!
I don't know who is in charge of Public Relations for this band, but I find them lacking. Big time. If you cancel dates and a lot of time has gone by, you should at the very least, post something to the ticket holders saying you are doing SOMETHING, looking at dates, haven't forgotten us, we, the fans, are very important to the band, they CARE that we are holding tickets in good faith. Instead of SILENCE. Very unprofessional, very unethical, and just plain not smart public relations. I am getting to the point that getting a refund is looking more and more appealing.

Thank you for your post .Im glad to see the majority feels the same .Ive been on this rant for weeks. Only getting resistance from the self centered who was not affected by the actions of the band. All we have asked for was a answer .every one ,should be upset over how us fans have been a non concern for Greg and management (basically the same frigin thing) .Just because it doesn't affect you directly ,doesn't mean you should be so shallow as not to band together with your brother fans .It might not make a difference ,but then again it might .You should be as upset that some people flew to NY and got hotel rooms only to be told to go home ,with no word or concern from the band ..IMO they are waiting till they cant wait no more REannounce a final tour get the bigger prices and us die hards to spend hundreds more, and get the last big paydays behind the Allman brothers name Just because we love the band for years ,doesn't mean we like what they become ...

Do we have to quibble among ourselves for what the band has become?

when DOMEL makes BS statements like that, then yes, we have to quibble just to set him/her straight....

as ive stated before----i was and still am affected by the "lost" beacon dates.........

but, to be honest---the band hasn't "become" anything recently----they have always, or rather i should state, they have been this way since i first started seeing them----a dysfunctional band...

think about it----a band who has to replace a member because said member is in jail........or for being drug addicts.......or for having such inflated egos that they dont talk to each other.........or missing gigs cause they dont get along.......

hell----one could write a book about it......oh, wait, alan did.....

but, saying that----they are still a rockin band who (as proven) i will go to lengths to see......

While I for the most part agree with your thoughts perhaps you could PM him rather than your continued rants against him. Just sayin'

I think there are just two extremes in this situation, the glass is half empty or the glass is half full. Some people think itís okay and the band should be able to take all the time they need, others think it has been long enough... the whole situation in itself is tense, and causing anger amongst the community. While it is nobody on this forums fault its obvious that the situation is causing frictionÖ and at the very that should be reported to the band somehow. While the band or management might not check this forum, it is safe to assume somebody close to them does and Iíd be shocked if all of this animosity hasnít been reported to somebody on that ďABB ladderĒ at this point.
I for one have been frustrated since about the second week of stall. I have since come to grips that it is what it is, there is no sense to b*tch about it anymore. I think that is mainly because October seems likely and in return there is about a 10% chance Iíll be able to attend nowÖ and about a 2% chance that I would actually want to attend if I could.
Having said that I would still like an announcement soon because the money I have tied up in stubhub could be used for more important things in my life at this point, IE my wedding, honeymoon, or money towards the home I just bought. I still find it shocking that we are waiting for any sort of communication but I can safely say if this wasn't the last year for the band this would be my last year supporting them no matter what.
Between this, moogis, and the autopen their business practice towards their fans has been suspect and in many ways insulting... and I have realized that I have nobody but myself to blame to keep going back. I've learned my lesson and I am done. I will always appreciate the band for the endless amount of memories they have created in my life, and more importantly the wonderful music that has blessed my soul, hopefully these past few years donít tarnish my love for that, I can honestly say I listen to their music less and less, and since this whole Beacon fiasco hardly ever anymore.
I donít blame DOMEL for being upset; itís a natural reaction especially for one you canít control. I canít say he has handled it great, but I also canít say he has handled himself any worse then the ABB or its management has either. What goes around comes around and I feel like this time its starting to come around full swing against the ABB. Its unfortunate but it is what it is.

Lol. I just think the band itself has created these debates themself with all this BS about rescheduling. And I blame Gregg as the supposed leader of the band. Can you imagine what's going to happen when Warren and Derek leave? As I've said before (I'm No Angel) Duane and Berry are rolling over in their graves at what this band has become

I, too, am holding a ticket for March 29th and hope to know about those reschedule dates before too much more time passes. Keeping the faith. Kind of like when you stop looking for something it finds you.
Peace.

It doesn't seem to be rocket science

ABB - what four close to each other dates do you have available before the end of the year?
Beacon - here is a lost of open dates, please pick four
ABB - OK we'll play these four

its more like----

ABB---we need to play some dates
Warren---well, i have mule, the symphony, phil and friends, and in there i wouldnt mind having a few days off with my family
Derek-----ive got TTb, my family, and maybe id like to catch some playoff baseball
Butch----hell, i wont be back from france....
Jaimoe----well, my back hurts, so i may stay home to rest
marc----just let me know when to show up..
Beacon----we also have other bands that are under contract for certain dates
gregg----i may break my other wrist.......and i wouldnt mind getting my health back in order
bert-----ok guys, lets try to figure this out

its not as easy as just sitting down and finding open spaces in a calendar...

not with a band that is this dysfunctional......

Is Greg's health still in question? Judging by his show schedule, he apparently is doing fine. I'm curious to see if he makes ALL these shows and how he plays.

Until I see him play I'll reserve my opinion. Has he played anything since the debacle down under? I'm going to Mountain Jam early June and I'd say the current odds on Grwgg showing are 50/50

Well, he's got a nice run in California starting Saturday into next week so his performance at these shows should give some indication of how he's doing.

i would say that gregg's health is always in question....

nobody expected him to get bronchitis and miss gigs.....

nobody expected him to break his wrist.....

and using his show schedule is not a way to gauge his health....

keep in mind---these solo gigs that he had to cancel, they were booked months ago.........long before the bronchitis and broken wrist.........

its not like he came back from the beacon and said "jeez, let me book some solo stuff"...

those contracts for the solo stuff were done a long time ago........
