Spring practices are among us.

Thought that an updated chart on conference realignment would be a good starting point for the 2013 season.

http://philsteele.com/Pdf/SpringGuide/2013/realignment.pdf

And coaching changes:

http://philsteele.com/Pdf/SpringGuide/2013/2coaches.pdf

This time of year there are always a bunch of coaches I forgot that moved somewhere else.

Bruins started spring practice today. The spring game/tailgate is scheduled for 4/27 at the Rose Bowl.

Got plenty of returning players including our QB. Unfortunately, just lost 2 OL to medical retirements.

GO BRUINS!

Working on my accomadations in Seattle for Ducks at Huskies on October 12.

Ducks schedule this year has Tenn at Autzen and Oregon travelling to Virgina.

Talk of going to Lincoln to see Wyoming play Huskers. Not sure I am in to spending big bucks to watch a blowout.

Meanwhile in Bama, three gimme's have been scheduled and more to come.

It might be premature still, but there is a chance I might be at the Oregon-Colorado game in Boulder 10/5.

Here is a week-by-week schedule:
http://lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm

NCAA calls Alabama's 2013 schedule 79th toughest (and second easiest in the SEC) based on 2012 w/l record of their upcoming opponents. Oregon is 113th

http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2013/sec-football-strength-of-schedule-201 3/
http://www.philsteele.com/Blogs/2013/MAR13/DBMar28.html

It is probably not too early for me to start hounding Directv again about adding the PAC 12 Network.

Do it nebish! Boulder is one of my favorite places to see a game. Folsom Field doesn't get the props it deserves.

While I don't think the Buffs will be playing for the NC, they'll be better than this past season (actually couldn't get much worse; 2012 was tough for the Buffs). There will be a good crowd considering that Oregon travels pretty well too.

Well it is like this, I was likely going to be in Colorado late Sept or early Oct so hitting the CU-Ducks game has potential depending on the actual days I am there which I won't know until summer.

This really comes down to ABB at Red Rocks if it happens or the CU game. Unless they are a couple days apart (unlikely) it will be very difficult for me to do both and I am giving ABB at Red Rocks every edge in terms of making that happen should they play there this year. I really really want to see Allman Brothers at Red Rocks!!!

Andy, I would like to come to that Georgia-Florida game too. I hinted at some conflicts I have with scheduling travel before, but didn't explain when I saw you. Let me just say that if I can come to that game first week of Nov I will, I'll explain some time. Won't know until summer probably.

If ABB plays at Red Rocks I'm going to do everything in my power to go, I think I have advance clearance from my wife to go, if not I'm going anyway! If and when that happens it will impact the other stuff.

Ever see this website dedicated to the transport trucks of the college football teams?

Me too, I am inviting myself to attend the football game with you. Whoever the Buff's or Bronco's are playing I am in.

DUCKS!!!

Based on your first three choices, you probably don't much care for the state of Florida either.

What did the Ohio Bobcats do to piss you off?

For me I'd go with
Alabama
LSU
Georgia
Florida

Always has been and always will be Miami of Florida.

I love to see them suck, but...sometimes having a team you love to hate relevant makes it funner to cheer against them when something is actually on the line. Still if Miami Hurricane football never won another game again that would be fine by me.

The University of Virginia will forever have my gratitude for sending the Canes and all their alums that were in the house that night a proper send off in the final game at the OB.

That reminds me of when Ohio Bobcat Rufus attacked Brutus in tOSU's home opener a few years back. The story is the kid in the Rufus outfit had planned his attack for some time. He was a former OU student, but in fact was not even enrolled at the school when he was allowed to wear the Rufus outfit. It is pretty awesome.

Here is field level video of the attack. I laugh out loud every time I see Rufus go running towards Brutus and then continue to chase him running among the Buckeye players.

Hey nebish, I wonder if you will remember me as Notre Dame fan who posted regularly in your COLLEGE FOOTBALL 2012 thread. No surprise that I agree 100% with you here

Oh yes. Notre Dame has a nice bowl win over the Canes a couple years ago. And the win last year gives you a couple in a row over them now.

Miami is such a great team to hate. I really hated the Larry Coker teams and of course all the Dennis Erickson teams. I do have a little respect for Jimmy Johnson's accomplishments down there although at the same time those are the teams that draw the most criticism.

I really have nothing against guys like Butch Davis, Randy Shannon and Al Golden. Actually Butch Davis deserves a ton of credit for bringing that program back. He left with that team ready to peak and Coker just rode that wave out. Anyway, no matter who is running the team seeing them lose is always a good thing.
