first off, thanks to everybody for all the great tabs and tips, they are greatly appreciated. anyway can anyone help me out with this dickey riff, its from about 12:07-12:13 on the win lose or draw version of high falls. i've heard him use this several times in liz reed and many other tunes but i've never been able to get it down.

It's something like this...not sure if it's in the right key but here it is in A

E|--8-----5--8----5----------
B|-----8---------------8-------
G|------------------------------
D|------------------------------
A|------------------------------
E|------------------------------

and repeat

Anyone have the tab for the voicing that Derek does on Black Hearted Woman that Warren sings? That would be grand...

It's something like this...if I had a guitar in front of me I could do this a little better, but here is it from memory. It's a little hard to read with the bending and the releasing...it's all in the 5th position A minor pentatonic.

E|----------------------------------------------------
B|--5----8b8b-8br-8-8b-8b-8b--8br-8------
G|-------------------------------------------------7b
D|----------------------------------------------------
A|----------------------------------------------------
E|----------------------------------------------------

E|------------------------------------------------------------
B|---8b-8b-8br-8br-8--5--------5-----------------------
G|--------------------------------7------7-------------------
D|---------------------------------------------7--5---7-----

All in fun my friends...

I haven't heard from you for a while so I thought I'd poke some fun back at you.
MY CHORDS ARE DEFINITELY RIGHT :-)

why anybody would believe EddieP is beyond me, especially when it comes to Dickey
The 'right' chords are definitely above!!!!!!!!!

Now Warren, Derek, and Kimock is a whole different story ;-)
I miss you Eddie, give me a call sometime.

Here's a VERY basic interpretation of My Seperate Reality......

Standard tuning key of Gm

The chords during the verse are Gm-Bb-Gm-D9
the D is played like this: pick each note instead of strumming it

E-------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------
B------------------3------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------
G--------------5-----5----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------
D-----------4-----------4-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------
A--------5----------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------
E-------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------

Hope this helps someone, if anyone has any corrections/comments please let me know

I kinda stumbled on possibly a little easier way to play this verse- I've been messing around w/ dropping a full step in tuning...(DGCFAD) and found that in this tuning, Am- F- D5-E works nice- picking each note as you mentioned...

My Separate Reality

Am F D5 E

D--------------------------1-----------------0----------------------------- -----------------------------------------
A----------1------------------------------3---3---------------------------- ----------------------------------------
F--------2---2---------2----2--------2--------2------1--------------------- --------------------------------------
C------2-------2-----3--------3---0-----------------2---2------------------ --------------------------------------
G---0------------------------------------------------2-------2------------- -----------------------------------------
D------------------1-------------------------------0----------------------- ------------------------------------------

Then- "Clouds go rollin' by"...begins in F, then G-C-D5

I really like playing in the tuning- a bit more depressing a feel to the major & minor chords...

Hey- 1st tab I ever posted! Hope it's right!

Like Flies
Gov't Mule

I had a hard time with this tuning, I believe it's Open C, CGCGCe, Low to high
but you can play it by just tuning down the 3 low strings to CGC and leave the three
high as they are for the middle section.

e-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
G-------------------------------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
C-------------------------------------------------------------------------3 ----------------------
G-------------------0--5--3---------------0--5--3-------------0--5-------5- -3--0----------
C-----0---0(h)3----------------0(h)3--------------0(h)3-------------------- ---------------

e-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------
G-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------
C---------------------------------------------------3---------------------- ---------------------------
G--------------------0--5--3-------------0--5----------------0--5--3-----5- -3--0--------------
C-----0---0(h)3---------------0(h)3----------------0(h)-------------------- -------------------

(C)We're at a place in history where the bar is at an all time low
We've applauded mediocrity till there is no lower we can go
(D)Art has no place in this world of super(C)size
Follow the(D#) leader to the(F) latest pile of (F#)shit
Like flies

The little funk part alternates between an F and an Eb, which I play on the high B and E. For the F, finger the 10th fret on the B and 8th on the high E and for the Eb, 16th on the B and15th on the high E

This is the best I could do w/Child of the Earth. I think it's fairly accurate. I had a little trouble figuring out exactly what chords he's playing in the chorus, I think the E is, from low to high, 079900 then just move that shape down a step for the D. I'm not sure if that's exactly right or not. Would love to hear some feedback from anyone!

Child of The Earth (5:45)
(Haynes)
Buzzard Rock Music (BMI)

As I stand (Em)here (D)searching for the (Bm)right words
I know that (Em)wisdom (D)comes from (Bm)despair
And I (Em)realize it's (D)harder to (Bm)find your own voice
Than to (Am)follow one (G)already in the (D)air B7#9 (Hendrix Chord)

And as our (Em)time (D)draws (Bm)nearer
I wonder (Em)just when we (D)stopped being (Bm)young
And I know my (Em)greatest (D)deeds will go (Bm)unnoticed
And our (Am)treasures were (G)here all (D)along

Child of the (E)earth (D)hear my (A)confession
Please don't (E)tell me (D)that it's (A)overdue
And from the (E)four (D)corners of the (A)universe
(F)I will make my (C)way to (D)you B7#9

(Chords are the same as the first verse)
A gentle touch known only to each other
And a breath that comforts like the rain
And a taste no other shall ever know
That upon my tongue shall remain

(Same chords as previous chorus)
Child of the earth heal me with your whisper
Hold me close to your breast
Dress my wounds with your innocence
I am weary let me rest

Let your (D)rain (C)wash (G)over me
You know (D)all (C)I ever (G)hoped to be
Is (F)half of what you (C)are to (D)me B7#9

Solo over the Em - D - Bm progression

(Use verse chords)
So take me from this island
Lead me to the mountains of the moon
As long as you lead I will follow
And the end of time will be too soon

(Chorus)
Child of the earth hear my confession
Please don't tell me that it's overdue
And from the four corners of the universe
I will make my way to you

(Chorus)
Child of the earth heal me with your whisper
Come and hold me close to your breast
Dress my wounds with your innocence
I am weary let me rest
I am weary
I am weary

(F)I will make my (C)way to (D)you
(F)I will make my (C)way to (D)you
(F)I will make my (C)way to (D)you

Anybody Have a You Dont Love Me Tab. I have messed around with the intro and verse, but I have none of the solo stuff. Does anybody know a site where there is a tab for this song. I know its hard because its a 19 minute song. Even a little bit of the solo would be nice.

Get the Hal Leonard Books
The Allman Brothers Band - The definitive collection.

It has pretty good transcriptions of all the Fillmore East solos including YDLM.
I think they are available from HTN, if not PM me and I'll give you some places where you can find them.

You will not be dissapointed.

I plan on buying the books as soon as I get the money. They sound amazing.

I was wondering what the chords are for Soulshine? That is the version the ABB plays. I've seen chords for Warren Haynes acoustic and other things that sound right, but its not the same as those on the Beacon. I can pick up on some ofthem, but not all of them. Also, what scale is it based on? I jam along with it sometimes and I play the C Minor Pentatonic and to me it sounds relatively good, but I don't have much of an ear yet. If anyone could help me out there it'd be greatly appreciated.

its in Bb Major. I think is a Bb-Eb-F thing. but thats just off the top of my head...but c minor pentatonic works over those chords...so you were on the right track with that.
