Yeah, he put it out pretty clearly, in a comedic sort of way.

The part he was referring to when he said the founding fathers wanted every citizen armed equal to the government is a very often ignored part of the Constitution.

Article I starts off with this phrase: "The Congress shall have the power to---
Article I, Section 8, paragraph 16
" To provide for organizing, ARMING, and disciplining the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively the appointment of officers and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress."

According to this section of the Constitution, it seems that every citizen should be armed the same as those under military service, and trained in their use.

Don't believe it, grab your copy of the Constitution and read it.

Now there's your problem Jerry, you still believe in that quaint notion that the Constitution still applies to modern times. I do too, but we're in a shrinking minority.

People don't realize that as the freedom from one amendment is chipped away at, other freedoms start getting slowly pushed aside.
You cannot change what is in the Constitution without getting an amendment ratified.

It also seems that very few really care about the constitution but start taking free speech and freedom of religion away and lets see how they feel and Jerry I agree with you on the constitution....
