Antidepressants, antianxiety meds, psychotropics, nne of these cause mass killings or suicides. If they did, everyone that takes them would be out there offing others or themselves. The truth is a very small percentage of people who take these meds commit violent crimes. A huge number of people are helped by them. These meds are prescribed in the first place for people with mental health issues. Are they over prescribed? Yes. If you eliminate them will mass shootings, homocides and suicides stop? No.

I remember the Texas Tower shootings. He had tried to tell family, friends, and at least one doctor that he was not well with headaches, blurred vision, "many unusual and irrational thoughts", and "overwhelming violent impulses

Before he started the killings, he typed out a note asking that if his insurance is still valid to use the money to pay off his bills and donate the rest to mental health research. He also asked that there be an autopsy to determine if there is "an organic reason for my actions"

The autopsy found he had a tumor that was pretty much always fatal and was placing pressure on the area that causes aggressiveness.

Whitman had been to to a doctor at the University Medical Center and the doctor noted: "He readily admits having overpowering periods of hostility with a very minimum of provocation. Repeated inquiries attempting to analyze his exact experiences were not too successful with the exception of his vivid reference to "thinking about going up on the tower with a deer rifle and start shooting people."
His doctor visit was March 9, 1966. His day of killing was August 1, 1966.

Just think that all those who died that day could have been prevented if the doctor had asked for Whitman to be put under protective observation.

Items in quotation marks are from his notes and those of Dr. Heatly.

how do you treat your asthma now? apparently Singular is effective so i do know people that use it as their choices are limited.
