Ordered this on DVD the other day...never saw it before...friend tells me to socre some acid and watch it!!! I think I'll pass on the acid, but I have heard this movie is a trip. I know what it's about, mind you, just never saw it.
Also ordered what has to be the best camp movie of all time...REEFER MADNESS, that's on a disc along with Cocaine Fiends. Poor Ralph...even his lawyer agreed he should be put away FOR LIFE!!! Must have been some good sh*t!
Taped both of those years ago off USA's "Night Flight"...remember that show? ____________________ "Jimmy cracked corn...and I don't care..." |

awman, I remember "Night Flight" well. Stayed on till the wee hours. Went very good with the ol' Sat. nite buzz back in the day. Had some good music every once in a while, too, squeezed in between "Blondie"! ____________________

Fritz, Reefer and Cocaine madness used to be a very popular triad at the Uniondale mini cinema midnight shows back in the day...anyone who grew up on Long Island in the late 60's early 70's did time at the mini cinema...it was always a party |

That would be the band, seems like I remember the music usually of the punk variety, but occasionally would have some good stuff. ____________________

In the documentary Crumb, doesn't he rail against

I have all of the Freak Brothers comix. I think there are fourteen of them.
Aren't there two Fritz the Cat movies? You can catch "The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat" on cable every now and then . . . the one where his old lady is b*tchin' at him 'cuz the only thing he ever taught their son how to do was wank it . . . and there's all that political stuff . . . about the cats and the crows, etc. If I'm not mistaken, this was the 2nd movie, and the first was a bit racier.
And what was the one with the duck? Not Howard . . . Dirty Duck, maybe? Does that ring any bells?

back in the day, fritz the cat was as edgy as it got. bluedrummer, was thinkin about the uniondale minicinema the other day. talk about a freak show. the midnight shows were a ton of fun. reefer madness was always a hit. freaks, the harder they come, night of the living dead - they all were a riot. i saw rocky horror there in 75/76 or so. i was totally freaked out when all these people screamed the lines back at the screen. good fun.... |

DAMMIT JANET! my misspent youth involved seeing the Rocky Horror Picture show every friday for two whole years. about 100+ times i suppose. they just closed the theater that played it, musta had rice stuck in every little corner and crevice. to this day when it comes on i'm steady yelling at the screen and generally making a site of myself.
I've only seen Fritz twice. ____________________ you know there just ain't no telling

"The Harder They Come" was great! It shows the seemy underbelly of the music business in Jamaica. I saw that at the Showboat Theater outside of New Orleans in Metairie. It was a double feature with "Brother From Another Planet".
Add "The Gods Must Be Crazy" to the list and you have a weekend of bizarre movies. ____________________ Capitalism will always survive, because socialism will be there to save it.
