Anxiously waiting to see how much they are gonna charge for NHL Center Ice for the shortened season.

Should be $20. Bastids.

No knives from Nonis as Burke had already had a deal for Luongo but wanted conditional draft picks depending on Kadri's and Bozak's performance.

Plus Nonis always takes over from Burke.

As for ticket prices, someone told me that Calgary is letting kids 12 and under in for free. Not sure if it's true but would be great to see a whole arena full of 12 yrs olds.

That's a good question. I cancelled my total sports package after the NFL regular season ended as I figured the NHL season wasn't gonna happen so there was no point in paying for it. Now I need to reconsider.

I'll be easing back into the games.

Not gonna go out of my way to watch these like I use to.

Probably in a couple of weeks I'll get there

NHL says it's sorry to fans in newspaper ads

NEW YORK — With hockey set to return after a four-month lockout, the NHL is apologizing again.

The ad says: "Like you, we've missed NHL hockey."

The league is thanking fans for their patience and apologizing for the lost games. The ad says the league is "committed to earning back your trust and support" with "hard work and unwavering dedication."

The ad is running in about 40 newspapers across the United States and Canada.

__

Gosh how deeply moving
As always, sports execs taking their fans for imbeciles
they said this same **** before & went on strike again -- the next one is two years from now when the current "agreement" expires
No "apology" can cover up their greed -- they could give a hoot about their fans, or else there wouldn't have been a strike...

Sure it's the Bruins & Rangiz -- but still

they (all the teams) should be made to skate around, at least at first, with big green&yellow Dollar Bills stitched right into their sweaters, right by the logo -- that's where it's at w/these guys -- Bucks 1st & foremost -- "we want your money" for all to see

yes the competition is good, yes people will probably start watching after awhile as the abbreviated playoff races develop...

Craps are still playing crappy defense . Lightning get 6 thanks to the penalties.

back to back tripping penalties for a 5 on 3 for Tampa

Using their sticks and hands instead of skating. Lazy minds.

Adam Oates and Calle Johanson have their work cut out for them.

I only watched the Leafs at Habs over the weekend. The quality of play was bad. I know they only had a week to come together but yikes. So the paying fan gets 2-3 weeks of brutal play and then they get 2-3 weeks of decent hockey, then they get 2-3 weeks of tired hockey and all get shafted.

Media ignoring fact product on ice sucks does not surprise me. We are all just a bunch of sheep.

Buffalo takes the first game against the Leafs. Positive note for Leafs fans is Kadri scoring again.

Ottawa pounds Florida 4-0 and the Sens seem to be picking up where they left off last season. Real strong team efforts.

There was a bench clearing brawl the other night between the Rockford IceHogs and the Grand Rapids Griffins. The IceHogs are the Blackhawks farm team. They are fighting in their pink breast cancer awareness sweaters ... it's three video clips ...

And there probably isn't a happier guy in the league that the season is only 48 games.

Think of how many more wins and shutouts he'd have if they hadn't lost two full season's worth of games during his career.
