agreed

The Hawks proved once again that they know how to pull games out and win.

Should be a great series

Made the finals in 1961 & 71 -- was surprised to see they've only won the Cup 5 times tho

NBA - CELTS, also follow Utah
NHL - BRUINS
MLB - SAWX, also follow Pirates, also Tribe
NFL - Browns/Pats

As a Ranger fan going on 50 years without a cup, I always thought about the three teams that had it so much worse, the Cubs, The White Sox and the Red Sox. Now only the cubs remain.

As a Detroit Lions fan, I have seen them win one (YES ONE) playoff game in my life. I think other than that, the last time they won a playoff game was in 1957 with Bobby Layne.

The Hawks are taking this One Goal thing a little too far - every game decided by one goal..... Go Blackhawks!

a fun series to watch, even for a die hard Rangers fan. I still think Tampa pulls it out. Don't ask me why, i have absolutely no reason to say this. Tonight will be another tight one and home ice means very little in hockey as this years playoffs have proven.

Congrats to the Blackhawks. Well done!

No matter who won the series, a UMaine Blackbear in goalie gear was going to raise the Cup, turned out to be Scott Darling rather than Ben Bishop.

congrats to all the Hawk fans. Well done. Amazing that Bishop played with a torn groin muscle. Not sure how that is possible.

Nice job by Hawks all around, team was built for playoff run. Lady luck shined on them in first round and then skill took over.

Richards pass to Kane from (I think) behind the red line across to blue line to setup Keith was amazing. I will tell my grand children about that pass. Not enough made of it on telecast but it was the game changer. Richards and so many others on fire last night. Chicago played a perfect game.

Scotty Bowman not smiling, moving, grimacing when Kane scored second goal was hilarious. He is a hockey genius and a weird duck.

Leafs in 2016!!!!

My wife and I were watching the local news this morning and of course that was the top headline here. She commented on how seven or eight years ago we would go see Hawks games all the time as she got suite tickets for free. The United Center was basically empty. Funny how the past few years everyone is now a die hard Hawks fan.

Where were they when they weren't winning? She isn't a Cubs fan but she said at least they show up even when they stink.

I lived in Chicago from 1998-2004. Went to a lot of games at the UC and yes, it was empty. However, if the Hawks were playing at home, they only way to go see them was to go to the UC, because they didn't televise home games.

Everyone used to joke "Just wait until Bill Wirtz dies!" Funny thing is, look at what's happened since Bill Wirtz died?

If you are talking about straight up bandwagoning, well, I certainly remember a whole lotta brand new Red Wing fans in the late 90s...

As an 8 year old when they won the cup in 1997 it was the perfect time to get into hockey. As a Detroit fan it is nice to have the Red Wings as one of your teams as you know come May they will probably be in the playoffs. The same can't be said for the Tigers, Lions, and Pistons.

With all that being said congratulations to the Blackhawks

It was another great playoff season .. hate to see it end. I like baseball but it's boring in comparison. It can take an hour between exciting plays.

The Chicago Tribune had a sad story on Stan Mikita yesterday. Arguably the greatest Blackhawk ever and he has no memories of anything. He is still on the payroll as an Ambassador. Not sure if concussions played a part in his Dementia. He was one of the first players to wear a helmet.

For Stan Mikita, all the Blackhawks memories are gone .... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/ct-stan-mikita-black hawks-spt-0615-20150614-story.html#page=1

That's a shame about Stan Mikita -- boy was he a player -- hopefully he has some recognition of his team's third Cup in six years -- & that's the dementia/senility would've come along anyway regardless of career -- a lawsuit against the Hawks/NHL by the Mikita family would also be a real shame

Once again, congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks

Sure was a fun hockey series with the first 5 games being decided by 1 goal. Future looks bright for both teams to return to the SCF again.

I follow Leafs and Flyers but am a big fan of all teams. Really follow the stats of various players and try to meet and get autographs of any hockey players. Always been a fan of hockey since watching the Leafs play the Kings in 1993 playoffs. Instantly became a fan of the Leafs and loved all the players.

Looking forward to the Awards night and the Draft coming up.

I have been using www.generalfanager.com for updates on signings, contracts, UFA's and RFA's, and draft info.

Also.... Who would your picks be for the Hockey HOF?

The 2015 Hall of Fame Class will be announced next Monday.

Nicklas Lidstrom, Sergei Fedorov, and Chris Pronger will essentially be locks, with a possible fourth spot being up for grabs for male players.

Sergei Makarov, Paul Kariya, Sergei Zubov, Alexander Mogilny, Eric Lindros, Mark Recchi, Chris Osgood, Dave Andreychuk, Jeremy Roenick and Theoren Fleury will all likely receive attention for that final spot. .

Lidstrom, Fedorov, Andreychuk, and Recchi would be my 4 picks.

What is the waiting period in the NHL for the HoF? Recchi was on Boston's 2011 Cup team and then retired so he has only been out 4 years.

Good question Gondy... I guess it would be considered for the 2015-16 season? Would that be 5 years?
