I made it through two OT periods then called it a night.

Of course it only too 36 seconds in the third OT for the game to end.

Ryan Miller was huge for St.Louis.

Thanks for the thread nudge, Stephen.

No prob bro
Seidenberg skated Tuesday for 1st time since Dec. knee surgery -- definitely won't play this year, on track for training camp Sept

not as encouraging on Adam McQuaid, & IMO there's gotta b a Bo Jackson or Cam Neely type of thing going on w/him -- the same articles say "quadriceps" on the one hand, and a "soft-tissue" injury on the other -- get well soon boys & Let's Go Bruins...

If I recall correctly, the Red Wings were the late Jack Learment's team -- fondly mentioned w/respect to a great guy taken much too soon

great opening night, went to Ranger game at MSG and got home to see the Chicago/St Louis overtimes. A late night. Great action so far and it is only game 1. Bruins/Wings tonight. Getting the wine and popcorn.

Not happy about a noon Easter game at MSG. After paying a boatload of money, cannot even attend game due to holiday plans. Philly was playing a great game last night until they went off the reservation with the penalties. Made me very happy!!!

Jack was a grate guy despite that one obvious character flaw.

that hit by Seabrook was one of the lamest i have ever seen in a hockey game. 3 games????

Not much of a punishment IMO. 10 games would send a message. Anyhow, Hawks are finished. The Blues are not going to lose this series after that play. What a pathetic play. The game is rough enough during the playoffs and that is pathetic.

Didn't see the hit so can't comment on it, but was surprised that Milan Lucic received only a $5K fine for the spearing-the-nuts cheap shot he put on Danny DeKeyser in game 1. He was very contrite about it afterwards, but it isn't the first time he's done something like that and I thought he'd get at least a game for it. Not that I wanted him to get a game mind you, but thought be probably deserved it.

EDIT: Just watched the Seabrook hit...wow, that was nasty. Here's a link with the vid:

A YouTube video posted Monday manages to capture the celebrations of every Stanley Cup championship team since 1949, from the periods of Montreal Canadiens dominance in the 1950s and ’70s, to the New York Islanders’ three consecutive titles in the early ’80s, and beyond. It is only 3 mins and worth a watch if you are a puck fan...

And more good stuff from Jimmy Fallon...

In honor of the 2014 NHL playoffs beginning, Jimmy hands out superlatives to players for things like "most likely to get a penalty for frosted tips." Three Bruins are featured...

Beautiful goal by Toews in OT. Crawford has been amazing as if telling all doubters to shove it up there ......

St Louis and Miller have been great also but last night's loss on home ice has them in trouble heading back to Chicago.

I was a big Flyer fan during the Broadstreet era, even would have given my son the second middle name of Clarke had my wife been ok with it.

After seeing them employ hatcher as captain I lost all respect for the franchise.

Guy was nothing but a cheap shot bully.

Too bad he's having serious post concussion problems but karma is a b!tch.

Actually I meant chris pronger, but he and hatcher are pretty much interchangeable.
