Yeesh -- after that 9-1 Ca-knuckle Sandwich Wed. in Vanc., Chi-Hawks & St.L must be goin', wtf we infor..." ducks in the pond they are not, LA Ducks>Anaheim are goin sick right now --

so the ? then becomes
In our 1st game w/em since last June, can we give the Stanley Cup champions a bettah game Sunday, than the rampaging monster-Ducks do tonite
Chris Kelly supposedly is close to returning -- Dennis S you are missed, & a 12-18 month recovery for His knee surgery? No, he'll be ready to go come training camp

It's awesome tho, the top 3 teams dueling this weekend -- but what's this about this huge break in the schedule for Pitts. -- they're in a 1 game in 9 days stretch right now

it doesn't matter, they're still in the upper echelon -- we've been off a bit lately but help is on the way -- Let's Go Brooonz

Man, two Flyers games in a row where the opposing goaltender winds up on the highlight reels . Both were awesome saves, I'll say that much.

Need the Nordiques back to round things out correctly.

Big game tonight for Leafs, habs are pulling away from pack and Leafs need to get above and beyond the 49 to 51 pt pack in the east.

Enjoy the day!!!!

The well rested B's hope to get Hamilton, Kelly & MQuaid back ASAP as they're putting on the gloves as we speak for O-6/Pt. II rival Phila -- deadlocked w/TB, who're in a game du jour tonite w/Colo & Go Avis -- & thanks btw to old-foe RWings in their win last nite over Habs, that helps -- Habs now at all-too-familiar loggerheads w/their oldest rival en Cana-da, Leafs --
no none of these teams are going anywhere, so it's go BROONZ -- (a Broonz fans prayer: "don't get hurt Tuukka") haha

What do you guys think of the game at Dodger Stadium tonight? Should be a slushy mess. I hard Kiss is playing there and it still isn't sold out.

These outdoor games aren't fun anymore. Doing it once a year for the "Winter Classic" on New Year's day was great. Then this stadium series idea comes along... if you're gonna do a stadium series, then all teams should be involved in that.

Mar-tan Brodeur was quoted last week when NJ played there, that the ice at the house that George Built, was the worst he'd ever seen in 21 years in the NHL -- didn't hear how it was in Chavez Ravine

Losin' to the Habs ( ) -- they beat us w/those 2 early goals, then we had a bad line change -- they outshot us 11-5 early, then it was anyone's game --

it's 1/3 of the way thru (end of reg. season 2/3, then playoff season) -- we need these last 4 games b4 the break -- no 1 is saying anything about what McQuad's injury is or how long he'll be out -- regardless, last night told a lot, the B's had 3 Solid games b4 that

-- mayb we're in the weak conf but overtaking Pitts., as unlikely as it seems right now, can be done -- Leafs & Habs are saying, 'a-kee is played Up Here', same thing TB in Fla. -- they won't catch us tho -- we gotta catch Pitts -- ya, let's go B's

Don't get many Bs games here in NJ, but my bud was at the game. Said they looked slow, sluggish and flat.

Maybe resting on the laurels of scoring 6 goals for 3 games in a row.

Hope that's all it is.

We outshot Montreal by a wide margin (34-15 or so), so it wasn't too awful an effort -- funny, it was the same thing a few weeks ago when we lost 5-2 to LA DucksOfAnaheim -- we outshot them by a similar margin in that game too

Let's go Bruins

You're quite right tho Wharfrat, the writeup of the game in yesterday's Herald was similar to what your friend saw -- a flat performance overall despite the SOG diff. -- just those 1st 5 min. that nicked us bro

Really? I went to both games at Yankee Stadium and had a blast. So did everyone else it seemed. Over 50,000 people each game cheering on their team. The first four games this season have drawn roughly a quarter of a million people. Every NHL city wants to host one. The exposure for the NHL is wonderful and the league and PA are making good money staging them (bottom line, right?). When a light snow fell over the stadium during the second period in Sundays game it was downright magical. Still lots of fun to be had. Sorry it no longer works for you.

Instead of crying about the ice Marty should have been crying about his teammates who gave up about a gazillion odd man rushes in that game. At 5-3 late in the 2nd the Devs started to put some good pressure on in the Rangers zone then with about a minute left out come the Rangers on a 3 on 1 (again!) Nash scores game over before the 3rd period even gets underway. Then, to top it off, he reportedly generously(!) suggests to his coach that Schneider, not to miss the outdoor experience, should play the 3rd. Rarely hear of any player asking out of any game unless they're injured, and in most of those cases they have to be told to stay out.

It was reported over a week ago that Brodeur had suggested a willingness to waive his no trade clause "if it could help the team". Now there are reports he has asked to be traded. Finishing his career as a backup is not what he had envisioned.

so who is everyone picking in the olympics--should be quite a tournament. I am looking for a Sweden/Canada gold medal game although the home team is going to be touch as well Lundquist is back on his game and that makes Sweden a powerhouse. Not sure about Canadas goaltending. I am so psyched for these games.

Gotta go with the USA

But I think the larger rink favors Russia and the other "speed" teams

Rooting for USA of course. The Canadian and Russian teams look strong, but if I had to place a bet on who will win gold, I would go with Sweden.

Russians out of the Games. Hard to score on a team that plays an 0-5 system with everyone defence especially with a guy like Rask in nets. Took Canada to OT and now will give Sweden a hard time too.

Canada nearly gets beat by one goalie. Fired just under 60 shots at the kid and he only got beat twice.

Missing the NHL. I think Olympics should go to an under 25 tourney. Too long of a gap and I just don't see the pro players giving ther all.

Have to be the guy. What the f is wrong with Crosby? Don't give me they can't find anyone good enough to play with him. I think he is done when it comes to stepping up into the spotlight.

He looks stunned and lost on the ice.

Kessel on the other hand keeps on rolling!!!!
