Early injury report: Patrice Bergeron has a ruptured spline and Jonathon Toews has a concusion. Bergeron would be tough to replace as he wins every face off.

Claude Julien said this morning that Bergeron will take warm up and he's confident he will play in game 6, so not really sure about the ruptured spleen rumors. If he is out, it would be a tough loss to overcome for sure.

The Bs are at their best with their backs against the wall so they really have the Hawks right where they want them. DROP THE PUCK!!

Does a spline count as an upper body or lower body injury? I don't even know where mine is.......

I made a leap of faith and assumed that he meant spleen. If it is his spline, then it must REALLY be bad since I have no idea what that is either.

So, now one has to wonder...is this a new injury, or a reinterpolation to his spline?

Have a feeling B's prevail tonight but will poop the bed come game 7. Too much pride in B's room to fall over in 6.

I am happy that the cup is in Boston and that only Chicago has a shot at it tonite.

i cannot see Bergeron playing tonight, they have said he might but if he goes, he will only play a shift or two and in this series, i dont see the point. anyhow, Toews is not really looking too good as well so if he plays not sure if he will have any impact. We shall see.

I think Boston survives tonight as well. It has been such a great series, would be anticlimatic to be less than 7 games. That being said, am pulling for the Hawks.

So their plan was to lose 3 games and be on the brink of elimination?

Bad plan. We now know why you are not the coach.

You should get a job with Hockey Night In Canada. You sound just like Healy. After he bashes the Hawks for three periods, it is comical to hear him after a Hawks win. Moron who obviously missed the entire season. Puts Crawford down constantly and the guy is one win away from a Cup. The only time healy had that chance was sitting on the bench. Lifetime backup putting others down.

Even when Tuki tuki gives up 6 goals and loses, he calls him unbeatable? Ummmm he just lost. He also still talks about how it is impossible to score on Rask. Ummm the Hawks did it in Game 1. Our tax dollars fund the CBC and we are paying this guy to be an idiot. Worst part is that PJ Stock is beside him doing the same thing. Stock ripping into Kane game after game? This is a guy who barely played in the league and kane's stats from half a season exceeds his whole career. He was willing to drop the gloves and get beat up is his claim to fame.

Gonna be another good one tonight and shame the Hawks will win it in Boston.

At least Orr's legacy won't be tarnished by Chara winning the same number of Cups as Bobby. Even Boston fans should be opposed to that.

Congrats to the Blackhawks and their fans. From the unreal streak at the start to the strong 3-in-a-row finish, it was a great season (short or not). That was a tough ending and I'm very bummed, but if the Bs have to lose, I'd rather it be the Hawks over pretty much any other team. Have fun drinking from the Cup, I salute you!

My signature has said The Year of the Chicago Black Hawks and last night they completed that successfully! What a season and what a time to be a fan!

Glad Crawford gets the chance to shove it down peoples' throats especially the media. He should have been the Conn Smythe winner. Played well for the entire playoffs and even after a bad night, he would bounce right back which is a sign of a winner. Rask did the same for Boston.

Great series and it wouldn't suprise me to see both teams back next season! Boston should be proud.

Off to change my signature now.

congrats to Hawks fans out there. No one can dispute the year the Hawks had and the amazing run to the cup. The entire hockey season rocked this year. The short schedule made the regular season incredible IMO and it just carried over into the playoffs.

The Bruins and Hawks were a great matchup of 2 of the top 3 or 4 teams and it played out as a great series. There were amazing series throughout playoffs this year- Red Wings-Hawks, Leaf-Bruins, Rangers-Capitals, Sharks-Kings, Hawks-Kings and i probably left a few out.

A great season, wish it was a 50 game season next year, starting January 1st!!!! LOL

I agree with CMule I thought that Crawford was going to win the Conn Smythe also. Hard to argue with Kane as the choice though. I really thought that the series was going to go to the B's, with Tukka outplaying Crawford, especially after the way he stoned the Pens.

With about 3-4 mins. left in the game I commented to my daughter who was watching with me that the B's all of a sudden just seemed to run out of gas. They started gliding and reaching for pucks and were a step behind their man. Then bang it was tied. And while I'm telling her I think it's over for them because I didn't think they had enough left to survive an OT, bang it was over.

I really was hoping for a game 7 tomorrow night. This was one helluva series.

Read today that Toews played last night after possibly being concussed in game 5 and Bergeron played after receiving a separated shoulder, broken rib and torn cartilage in same game. Hard core stuff.

All true all around -- when crunch time arrived the Chihawks stepped it up -- they were in Tuukka's face or at least our end, practically the whole 3rd period --
DAMN did I ever want this to go back to Chitown :bummed:
right on our own ice, 2 last min goals, big celebration right under our noses...unbelievable --
right there w/the 1979 loss to Habs, 2010 Philly, 1971 Habs, last year's 1-0 7th game w/Wash....
nice going Blackhawks -- they played friggin' great

at the end of the day

Stanley Cup and a week later the Draft! Too funny! When do training camps open, the week after?

Seems like the Hawks will be moving Bolland to open cash for Bickell. Shaw pretty much fills Bolland's role at a cheaper price. I just wish teams could stay together after winning a Cup. Pretty hard to win back to back or have a dynasty.

Back in my old stomping grounds for a 2 week family summer holiday. Sat at local last night and soaked in hours of hockey talk. Always good to be back in Scarborogh and talking leafs.

All are happy about Bernier coming to leafs, all agree Phaneuf is a donkey, all agree Leafs to SC in 3-5 years. LOL All put up with my Jake Gardiner is the greatest d man since Bobby Orr. All good.

Some are saying Bickell is being courted by the Habs.

The Blackhawks are a well run organization. They took out a full page ad in the Boston Globe thanking the Bruins and people of Boston for a great series ...

Very classy move. Toronto could learn something from Chicago.
