Am I the only one frustrated with the schedule for this round. The Red Wings- Blackhawks series had game one tonight and game two is on Saturday, that is frustrating, game two should be tomorrow or Friday than a travel day with game 3 the day after that. Biggest complaint about the playoffs is to much downtime between games

One thing is clear, Hank Lundquvist is the best goalie to ever lace up skates for the Rangers and easily the best in the NHL right now. But as was proven when he lost game 2 1-0 in overtime, he cannot score goals. It's a good day to be a Ranger fan.

Hey wait a minute -- Whattabout Eddie Giacomin?? Gilles Villemuere????? EMILE "THE CAT" FRANCIS????????
Hehe -- the old greats
- but yes Henrik on paper as of now is a if not the diff.-maker -- being dinged-up defensively Does Not Help either -- well, mayb old-great Jaromir will flash some of the old magic -- bottom line, as great as he is, everything Henrik can do, Tuukka can do too/better -- he's proven that & in goal it's even or we have a slight edge -- it's elsewhere where B's need to heal up....

"Sanderson Double-Teamed And Here We Go!" as the full-scale brawl broke out at the start of Game 3 of the 1970 playoffs at MSG...outta control

I usually prefer a consistent flow to a series also. Although I'm glad they will be on Saturday afternoon as it will be nice foreplay for the Preakness. I think the Red Wings need a couple of days off .. they were gassed after the first period.
Commit to the Indian!

Won't stop rooting for the Red Wings until they are eliminated, then I'll be rooting for whoever is facing Chicago, unless it is Pittsburgh then I'd want both teams to lose

Has anyone seen leafsfan? I'm kinda worried about him.

In the meantime, back in Boston...

Game 1 seemed more like a chess match for the first 2 periods, but the 3rd period and OT were fun. I've never seen one team dominate an OT like the Bs did last night...8 shots on the PP helped that perception, especially since sometimes they don't get 8 shots in 8 PPs. Can't wait for game 2 Sunday afternoon...

LOL someone say A*&h*&le????

Fricken Leafs, jes louise, its still killin me. Haven't set off my bud goal light since Monday night. Would have loved to beat Tort's.

Whata the big deal about Original 6 matchups? Pretty obvious the league is run nd controlled by an Amurikan when the matchups are much like the Sunday games on NBC, no Cdn content.

The US teams only sells on american tv BS tells me its time for a Cdn only league!!!! Take our cup, our Cdn dollars and our players back and head home.

Bruins suck!!!

We hold serve at home, now it's off to the unfriendly confines of MSG
I feel your pain leafsfan, it happened to us 2010 against Philly

It's probably no big deal, I'm just 1 older fan who thinks it's cool seeing the O-6ers playing each other -- look at Det.-Chic, no one thought the Wings would do anything but they gained a split in Anaheim, used it & now the same thing the 'hawks, who are expected to win it all -- it's cool cause they're age-old midwestern titans once again lumbering into playoff combat -- it's like, "they have a history" -- peace
Get back soon Dennis, Andrew et al & let's go, Bahstin BROOONZ baby

Nice that the Bs got to Hank for 5 goals (first time he has given up more than 4 since 2010, a span of 152 games). Would like to think the Bs might be in his head now, but he's too good for that plus he's going to be back on home ice for the next two...not predicting but a shutout is certainly possible in game 3. The B's young defensement have filled in very nicely, this kid Krug has some nice offensive skills and Bartkowski plays like a veteran. Jagr looked much better yesterday than in either of his last two games...he's going to get his goals, shoulda had at least one yesterday. Bs are sitting in a good position, but there's still a ton of hockey left in this series...if they just take 1 of the next two in NY I'll be happy.

You did more than hold serve. The Rangers looked like dog crap and got outplayed in every area of the game including goal (even though most of those pucks were not really stoppable by Hank) It's is going to take a hell of a lot for the Rangers to come back and make this a real series. We will see if they can do it.

The Rangers are going to have to start playing defense again. How ironic that in the game that two imortant offensive players, Nash and Cally, finally break through, the defense utterly collapses. Girardi who is a force normally, was awful.

Don't know much about Callahan other than what I've seen in this series, but man is he fun to watch (would be even more fun if he were wearing black & gold). Shocked that Nash hadn't scored a goal in the playoffs before yesterday, he clearly has mad skills.

Not as shocked as us. Those mad skills are why we obtained him. Cally is the heart and soul of the Rangers but it is not typical he scores a goal as pretty as that. He is sort of like a mini version of Mark Messier, smaller, not as fast and not as skillful but the same kind of player (though a wing not a center) But he hadn't done much offensively to this point either.

They didn't do too much in the first 2 games of the previous series either -- then they returned home to MSG & nothing was the same for the Caps -- it's no time for the B's to relax, they know they haven't yet seen the best of the Broadway Blueshirts
Let's Go Bruins

Surprised Rangers re not taking it to Bruins defence. They have 3 regulars left. Leafs we're able to mess with Chara by beating on him at every opportunity.

Rangers as per usual are doing their best to blow an easy oppurtunity.

Wings up 2-1 is awesome. Much like the Bruins the hawks get away with murder. Duncan Kieth plays as dangerous as Torres but league looks the other way all the time.

Now if only the Red Wings could sell out their games and CBC could show more of the girl in daisy duke shorts behind Wings net last night.

LA San Jose - wake me when they hit 5 games.

Sens over Pens, now that would be a story.

The Rangers are being outclassed by the Bruins. I don't even expect them to win tomorrow. Winning the series? The ABB is more likely to come out with a new album and go on a major world wide tour. Poor Hank totally hung out to dry.

After 2 periods last night I really started thinking Henrik was going to steal that one for us. Once the B's got the equalizer I knew it was a matter of time. The difference between the Caps and the Bruins is when Henrik was on the Caps got frustrated and started to quit. The Bruins never quit as witnessed in the Leafs series.

After the up and down short season and the awful post season I think it's time for Torts to go. Thanks to Henrik they were able to squeak by a far inferior Caps team and should have shown up much better against the Bruins. There is just way too much talent on this team for them to be struggling this much. The power play has been dysfunctional all season and still seems lost. Think about it....a PP goal in game 1 and a PP goal last night and realistically the Rangers could be up 2-1 in this series. But the PP is 0-for the series and the Rangers are in a 0-3 hole.

Going to the game tomorrow night with my daughter, not expecting a whole lot.

Rangers forward Brad Richards is a healthy scratch for Game 4. I guess $12 million (his 2012-13 salary) doesn't get as much as it used to!

My first thought was who, exactly, is going to take his place to put us on a 4 game winning streak?
