will be at MSG tonight. Hoping Rangers can keep it going. Islanders are surprising the heck out of me, Fleury can be god awful at times and he has made this a very interesting 2 out of 3 series. The Islanders are now amped up and Pittsburgh could be in for a dogfight at this point.

As usual Vancouver is out. They are not built for the playoffs and its proven every year. Some great first round series are shaping up.

The biggest problem for the Pens aside from their goaltending is the heart and will of the Isles. I see a repeat of 93 and I love it.

The Coliseum might be the loudest arena in the country. The place is nuts.

The Rangers were still weak at 5 on 5 in game 3 but they were able to score some goals because their defenseman pressed and they got more aggressive. They need to keep it up and trust Hank if a break goes the other way.

Yep and its awesome. Former neighbour and huge Canucks fan has to fly a leafs flag until Leafs win the cup or eliminated.

I walked away with 2 six packs of micro brew and 20 bones all due to Schnieder and his inability to stop the Sharks.

IMO the Canucks we're ready to go until Schnieder blew out something and it killed their flow. Now Luongo is in net, he plays very well but does not get win so they mess team up and bring in CS after 2 close losses and CS isn't ready.

Canucks coaching and mgmt are to blame on this one. They have a good team but they are a tense bunch due to the on going Luongo situation and the team not being as tight as they we're before the Luongo situation.

Sharks make final four and as good as they played against Canucks and as big as they are the next round matchup against Bhawks should be awesome.

Leafs tonight!!!

What an awesome game , lots of chances in OT for both teams , a real heartbreaker for the Leafs .

great win by the Rangers-they shut down Alex O. Not sure if they can pull it off but they made it a great series. Games are all so close. Wings/Ducks game was awesome as well. What a night of hockey.

Islanders - Penguins tonight. Hoping for a competitive game. Go Tavares!!!!

The Rangers are surprising me by scoring 8 necessary goals in 2 games including 4 in the third period. I still think their strategy of laying back and letting the opponent control the point and boards in the defensive zone as if they are penalty killing is not the best way to preserve a lead or the lifespan of their fans.

I am impartial but that was an amazing game. Other then the outcome.

Leafs have some foot to the floor speed. great action, fierce in your face hockey.

Leafs go out and find some depth on the blueline and some size up front I see some good years ahead.

LEAFS will take this series to 7 games.

Isles were gross, looked like they were skating in maple syrup. Volkun ain't that good desptie the shutout. He was giving up huge rebounds. Isles forwards had no gas. They need to get in front of him and create some traffic.

If we go into it tonite with a "tied 2-2" more so than an "up 3-1" mindset, we should be OK -- this Leafs team can't be taken for granted, they had just as many good chances in the OT of the previous game as the B's did & the series could easily have been tied

Maybe he's getting senile as all the reports have suggested, but that grin on Gordie Howe's face this morning is for a reason -- one of the best playoff victories ever for the Red Wings... huge upset

C'mon Bruins, meet this Leafs teqm halfway & show em where ya live -- it can't be "first to score in this one wins it" -- they gotta open it up a little more -- both goalies have been awesome in this series -- the home ice, as we've seen, doesn't count for much
C'MAWN BROONZ -- word is that Ray Bourque will be in the stands behind the Bruins bench, a keenly-interested observer -- now if That can't motivate them...

Hoping both Rangers and Leafs can somehow pull out the road wins. Two great series. Was at MSG yesterday, what a great series. Lundquest is amazing but Rangers still will need to score 3 to win tonight. Can Rangers ever score an empty net goal. I dont think so.

I did not hear much about Isles Penguins. Islanders should have won game 6 and had they won, i believe that they would have won the 7th game in Pittsburgh yesterday. Penguins had no legs in that game and the Islanders were flying. Anyhow, Islanders still have a major issue in goal that they will need to fix heading into next season.

Detroit surprised me a great deal. they are a tough out.

I cannot believe the playoffs so far and its still round 1. I guess I say this every year.

Hockey playoffs are the best. Very little difference between the seedings every year.

But I don't think my Wings have a shot in the bext round. I would say Black Hawks in five, maybe six.

Four of eight on the first round & yes all those picks for NYR were good ones -- not this time tho
We only played that game on a few hours rest because of travel/airplane problems, plus Seidenberg injured in the first minute -- he'll be needed

Bruins in 7 over NYR
anotha O-6er -- don't know who to pick, Chi or Det -- Hawks in 7
Pittsburgh over Ottawa
SJ over LA

BROONZ -- sorta ashamed to post, didn't think they'd come back

I find my beloved Rangers confounding. I am afraid to pick them because then they score 1 goal in two games. Just when I give up they have a game like last night. Suffice it to say I think this team has the talent to beat the Boston Bruins in 6. Whether they will I cannot say. One thing is clear, Hank Lundquvist is the best goalie to ever lace up skates for the Rangers and easily the best in the NHL right now. But as was proven when he lost game 2 1-0 in overtime, he cannot score goals. It's a good day to be a Ranger fan.

This series could go either way. Expect a tight, low scoring series.

I know it is cliche, but if any series "all comes down to goaltending" then this is one of them for sure. Granted that Lundquvist is probably better overall and should win the Veznia, but Rask has been pretty darn good as well. Somehow Rask isn't even a finalist for the Veznia, I assume based on # of wins (split more time with Khudobin so had fewer games started than the others), but statistically Rask was better than all 3 finalists in most other categories and tied for the league lead in shutouts (5).
