Jaromir Jäger to the Bruins. This is a good move...yes he's older, but he doesn't need to be the savior. He's an offensive minded player and a defensive minded team, and his 14 goals tie him for the team lead with Marchand. Could be a big boost to ther grossly underperforming power play. Bs need more goals and Jagr has the experience and ability to help with that. Maybe some of him will rub off on Tyler Seguin, who has tons of talent but no bonafide goal scorer to learn from. Side note: Seguin wasn't even born when Jagr entered the league.

It'll be interesting to see how he does -- hopefully better than when they got an aging Jaques Plante late in his career -- or, in more recent times , hopefully it pans out better than the Kevin Stevens trade

Buffalo scored a shorthanded goal tonite, 3-against-5 -- wow!! 4-1 Sabiz over the Pennies

Patrice B didn't return after a shot to the head -- please oh please, let his concussion not return.

And it's a final!

4-1 what's left of Buffalo beats the Penguins.

Iginla scores the only Pixberg goal.

3pm trade deadline today. Should be interesting to see who gets traded and also wonder about the players who would be traded to make room for salary cap (cap is coming down for next season)...

I thought that they have all been traded by now.

In Canada, there are two sports networks that have all day trade center and all the trades over the last few days have taken away all their stories. Will just be a bunch of guys talking about nothing now. Has been the same for the last couple of years.

Buffalo finally shows up and breaks the Pens streak. Too bad they can't beat last place teams.

Bad news, it is indeed a 4th concussion. Out indefinitely.

Sad. Suprised as I didn't even have him in a pool this season. Has to start considering retiring and saving his brain.

Makes the Jagr pick up even more important.

Funny that Chara and Redden end up on the same team again. Plus picked up the Dawg on waivers from Ottawa last week. Bruins are loading up on Sens alumni.

Leafsfan must be thrill that the Leafs are finally acting intelligent by not picking up Luongo or Kipper. Reimer is better than both at this stage and deserved the confidence from the team.

Hated to see Bishop leave Ottawa but they got some much needed scoring in return. Good deal for both Ottawa and Tampa.

Buffalo trades away one of the only guys who has been good the last two seasons. I guess time will tell.

Loving the fact that we could have 6 of the 7 Cdn teams in the playoffs this year. Need everyone to keep rolling, the Jets to wake up and Oilers to find one more gear to get over the hump into 8th.

Leafs Habs playoff matchup please!!!

Jagr is making a nice start for Bruins fans.

Tampa looks great after picking up Bishop too. Shut out for his first game with them is a nice start also.

Jagr got the games only goal (Rask 40 saves, amazing game for him) but was pretty hard on himself after the game. Bs really missed Bergeron, he's a huge loss.

Not the greatest goal as it went in off his skate but it works especially when it's the only goal.

Big week for Toronto, home and home against the stinking Rain-jahhhhsss then Saturday on HNIC against the stinkin Habs. All games on TV here on the west coast, life is good.

Not liking the idea of playing the bruins in 1st round but unless Boston turns it up or off, its starting to look like 4-5 matchup is either Ott at Bos or Tor at Bos. UGLY!!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!

I know he's just 1 player, but the Bruins looks like a different team without Patrice Bergeron. They need him back if they really want to amke another cup run, IMO.

21 shots early in the 2nd period?????????
C'mon B's, what is up -- mayb we're winning 3-0 but it's not a real 3-0 lead -- we lean on our goalies way too much
be well & get back soon Patrice B. -- they're calling it a "moderate concussion" -- hopefully he'll play again this season, late into May

Leafs win again! Leafs are rolling right into the playoffs.

Carey Price gets pulled in back to back games... who would've ever thought that would happen to him.

My gosh -- 8 straight for the Craps (as Wotty liked to call them)
Mr. Ott is never forgotten, esp on this thread, & w/his team suddenly going so well -- the Maple Leafs are too -- mayb we'll play them first round
Let's go Bruins -- heal up quickly, Patrice Bergeron

Leafsfan must be happy tonight. I went to the Sens/Leafs game tonight courtesy of another Leafs fan. Leafs fans out in big numbers and having fun. Sens put 50 shots on net but couldn't score more than 1. Toronto wanted to get Luongo or Kipper at the deadline? Reimer is better than both. Smartest move that Toronto never made.

The funny part is the Leafs fans in Ottawa are bigger die-hards and louder than the fans in Toronto. Although alcohol does play a bigger factor at Sens/Leafs games. With both sets of fans trying to drown each other out. It just becomes noise. But lots of fun.

My buddy and I disagreed about the fight. But they even miss a few shots at the start that Kassian lands and he still wins this one. My friend said he just wanted to hold on. Once he was tired out from being the only guy swinging I guess. I didn't notice the McLaren headbutts while at the game. Too bad they didn't go again but McLaren didn't play after that fight.

If there was an oppurtunity for the real leaf fan to get half decent seats at a half decent price the atmosphere in ACC would definitly improve.

I remember in 93 when the season ticket holders had no faith in the Leafs to beat the 1st place Wings. Real fans actually had a chance at buying the seats to games 3 and 4. Maple Leaf Gardens was a gong show of true blue fans not the corporate egg heads drinking Stella and chompin on Sushi between periods. I was at games 4 and 6. The noise and atmosphere we're amazing!!!

We also road tripped to Montreal or Buffalo so we could see the guys play live at a decent price. I bet a bunch of folks at Sens on Saturday we're from GTA.

So pumped about the Leafs being in the playoffs. I am growing a playoiff beard for sure
