Key tonite in Pittsburg, where the Pennies have won 5 straight & can overtake us in the conf. w/#6 -- meantime we overtake Les Habs for the div if we win -- wonder who will start -- if Tuukka specifically asks Julien will probably go w/him, otherwise Anton
Let's go Broonz, keep the heat on -- nice div. win last nite, 2 hard-earned points...

Anton has stood on his head in this game tonite after B's outshot 31-13 w/7 min. left -- he doesn't deserve to lose this thing -- c'mon B's, hang on, these are 2 huge points...*

* well that sucks -- what a gift

Love the fact that the Dead things will be playing the leafs 5-6 times a year.

Don't like the fact that 2 Fla teams now in Adams division. Only backs up the fact that there should not be 1 or 2 teams in Florida.

No comment on playoffs as the Leafs need to make the playoffs before I can complain about structure.

Lost in all the BHawk excitement, Anyheim looks as tho they want to keep the Cup in town for another year -- they're going awesome --
c'mon B's, turn 'em into cap pistols -- Anton has played awesome this year, except for two periods, both 3-goal third-period outbursts -- it wasn't all his fault that collapse against Pitts., esp. the one w/2 min. left -- wow that one still hurts BROONZ

Eliminate the Panthers. Tampa has sold out 15 straight home games.

I've thrown in the towel on the Flyers season, just can't seem to get it together and they aren't playing into Lavy's system (Doesn't have right guys).

Been reading up on the Leafs everyday. Sure hoping they will make the playoffs and get that drought over with. Love watching their young guys.... Frattin, Kadri, Bozak, Holzer, Franson... Sure hope they can keep getting better the more they play.

Leafs young guys are fun to watch as are the Sens young guys who continue to win or at least pick up a point in most games. The Sens should have been out of the playoff race long ago with all their injuries but through miracles and strong goaltending, they are still mid-pack.

Would be great to see both make the playoffs and meet up for another Battle Of Ontario. I think the Leafs would be in trouble though. They score but can't stop others. The Sens goalies (all 3) have been awesome and if that continues, the Leafs would have a hard time. Time will tell if both can hold their places.

Buffalo is just bad this year but they beat the Habs which works for me.

And the Hawks continue to kick ass.

That they do bro, & keen to see how that game comes out tonite on the left coast in that CFP -- they're the 2 best teams, should tell a lot -- B's tho have suddenly lost 3 of last 5 -- as in, 3 of last 5 3rd-period WTF-happened-s -- the fact is, we're playing awesome most of the time
Let's go Broonz -- David Krejci OK luckily after taking that slapper to the knee against Pitts, Ouch

Western Conference standings are nuts. 4 points seperating 7 teams? Crazy with 20 to go, things are going to get exciting.

Columbus in the playoff hunt!?!?!?

I wonder if Nash is poison to a room? Rangers aren't any better by having him around.

It's going to be like playoff hockey all month.

Here's a cool contest on the Blackhawks site ... you can win part ownership of a race horse with Eddie Olcyzk ... http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=87290

Leafs/Habs would be great for the league.

BTW anyone think a 60 game season would be better than an 80 game season. This 48 game season is awesome. The games are all so big and so many tight races. As a Ranger fan, we have been so average that its going to be a tough road to get into the playoffs but the games are all so close and exciting.

Looking forward to April. Its almost like an extra month of playoffs!!!

No owner will go for 60 games, even with another round of playoffs thrown in.

I think they like the 4 games a week routine.

April is going to be nuts!!!

Pretty unfair to put the Rangers problems on the acquisition of Nash IMO. He is their best offensive player hands down. The guy is a monster on the ice and it's a blast watching him play. A friend of mine calls him Bugs Bunny. Huh? He asked me if I ever saw the BB cartoon where Bugs is on a baseball team and he plays every position. He says Nash reminds him of that.

Some of my thoughts for their struggles -

1) Tortorella's act is starting to wear on the players. While the players bought into his hard nosed style hook line and sinker last season he's been pushing too many of the same buttons without getting the old results. The public lambasting and calling out of star players after last weeks loss in Buffalo didn't win him any points with his group.

2) Tortorella forcing Gaborik to play left wing. Gaborik is a career RW who piled in 40 or more 2 of the last 3 seasons. Sometime he looks lost on LW. It's obvious to everyone the switch is a failure, and T lets it continue. Almost like he wants him to fail. Rumor has it Gaborik is on the trading block.

3) Keeping all top four defenseman healthy at the same time. Their d'men 5 on down are awful.

4) IMO thIs is the single biggest reason - The loss of Brandon Prust. The man had that uncanny ability to light a fire under the team with a single hit or scrap. No way could the Rangers give him the money the Habs did, but no one has been unable to step up and replace that intangible.

For this Rangers fan, 2013 is starting to feel like 1995 all over again.

Leafs Bruins back to back this weekend. Be great to see Kessell show up for one or both of these tilts. Lupul back Monday will help the Leafs cause. Lupul is en fuego these days along with Khadri.

LEAFS!!!!
