I have seen them 3 times since the ABB no longer graces the South with their presence, and I've enjoyed all the shows....they have becoming increasingly better with each show...just my humble opinion

I love them but you will get a lot of the exact opposite opinion on this board. I am really looking forward to their upcoming live album. Any audience recording of this band that I have heard to date have totally failed to capture their true live sound.

I agree and hope they win the Grammy. I think they deserve it because the quality and originality of their songs is top notch. It's a real pleasure to listen to them and more importantly a real pleasure to see them live on the stage. I hope they do some more dates around the tri-state area this spring and summer.

Thanks for the heads-up Brofan.

Good band, but that video, well, not so well-shot. Gives me a new appreciation for Susea's steady video hand!

I re-watched their segment from the Crossroads 2010 DVD last night and I will agree - they are the band to see.

Yeah, they can... It took me more than a couple of Live shows to come around, but they have my vote.

I so hope they get added to the Mt. Jam line-up. They're due to make a stop at Hunter Mountain and if it's the same day that Winwood is on the bill, the sit-in possibilities with Warren and Derek with Winwood has me salivating.

It's kind of ironic that you like them for their originality, and the OP posted a Joplin cover as proof of their greatness. The band must prefer covers too, since they are adding more to their setlists.

The PRS benefit show for JH Cancer center is pretty good sounding.

I think the problem with live recordings is they only capture the sound of a show, but not the vibe of being there.

The Recording of have of the 2011 Warner Show is not as good as I remember it to be. The vibe is missing.

But I too am looking forward to the Live Soundboards.

On thing about the live sets is that the horns have really changed the character of some of the songs from the studio album. Learn how to love you is one example. The live version has so much more power with the horns vs. the swampy groove of the studio recording.

As a trombonist I'll always dig the version with horns! your mileage may vary.

I've seen them 3 times and the last one at the Chicago Theatre was absolutely incredible. That band swings as hard as any band that big can.......they're only going to get better and better too. I'm sure you'll get alot of opposing opinions on this site because they're not the ABB but hey.....they're every bit as good live (maybe even better these days).

Haters gonna hate.

This band is the real deal...I'm really hoping the promoters of Summercamp are smart enough to schedule the Mule and TTB on the same day....that would be a real special thing to do.
