Kinda reminiscing this past weekend when I was out riding my bike through our woods
on some trails and listening to my myp3 player. I had a playlist of some VH,GnR ,Ozzy
and a few others and got to thinking when I was playing For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
that it came out 20 yrs ago this month and man what a great album it is. I started to
to think also of some other music that came out that year/summer and that was , I feel
a pretty big year for hard rock and metal. Almost like a last big hooray for that genre in
away. Metallica Black album came out, Ozzy No More Tears, G N R Use Your Illusion
and maybe a few others. These are all very good releases. Are they the artists best?
Thats another thread and debate. But that year we also saw the release of some other
big releases from different genre's. Nevermind, Temple Of The Dog, Pearl Jam 10,Chilli
Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magic. It kinda was the last big shot for hard rock and metal
in away, with grunge kinda taking the helm for a little bit and country music was starting
to take off with Garth Brooks and others. Kinda sad in away, but time marches on.

Oh and I forgot also. IMHO the last good Tull album came out that
year too, Catfish Rising!!! Excellent record!!! Probably one of my fav's of JT.

have you actually heard them or are you basing that off of the name of the band?

what does lasting long have to do with anything? buffalo springfield lasted less than 2 years and cream lasted less than 4. does that mean something? love/hate was around for over 10 years and warrior soul has been around even longer than that. its hard to make it big when you are playing something thats not commercial.
