Hit the pool today. Decided to swim 1500 yards non-stop. When I got there, I said "What the hell. Six more laps and it's a mile." and kept going. Did one more lap for good measure. Hadn't swam a mile non-stop since last fall. Feel pretty good but the backs of the upper arms are sore.

I'm good for another six months! An added bonus, my speedo tan is coming back!

I've always felt that working out should translate over to better functionality and last night for the first time ever I was able to use my left leg to 1 leg squat myself up to a high stage at my once a month gig at JJ's blues lounge. Every month since I've been working out it's been my test to see if my left leg was getting stronger and last night was the first time I could step up and use that leg to get on the stage.....Big step for me

Cheers gang! Here's to health, fitness, and fun... and the Allman Brothers!

I'm on a good stretch of workiong out lately, feeling good! Have been eating more fruits and veggies for a while now and the weight is starting to drop again. THis morning the boy and I are doing chest, back, and shoulders. I'll end with a run, he will probably work on the heavy bag. Life is good.

That's some good mileage Wharf! Keep it up!

I was going to do a light run today but with the recent tragedy at the Boston Marathon and and the beautiful weather, I'm going to put in some miles and a climb. All just to celebrate the joy and empowerment of running and exercise. Carpe Diem!

Finished Boston last week in 3:13. Luckily I was out of the area a good 50 minutes before the attacks happened. Had a great race and had plenty left in the tank when we crested Heartbreak Hill.

I've only run once in the last week to give my body a break. I did a 31 minute jog around Spirit of Suwanee Park, an annual tradition.

Congrats Tim on your time and running a great race. That's a heck of an accomplishment. You definitely deserve to take some time off too!

Got out and ran today. First time since last Wednesday. Over-indulged a bit on the weekend so no PR today. Just cruised it and worked up a good sweat. Tomorrow it's off to the pool.

Good job Doug! Congrats on the PR. Here's to more of those for everyone!

Great swim yesterday. Moved through the water pretty easily and could have gone longer if not for having to return to the office. Today was 3 mile run at a strong pace. The weather was cool so it was easier to kick it up some.

Tomorrow it's back to the pool and then the Friday long run.

Double duty today: swam in the morning including a 50 butterfly... good thing I have a day job! Ran at lunch. I was a little tired but I worked the hills, backed off some going down and in the flats and then brought it on home the last half mile. It was great to be outside in the beautiful weather. All in all, it's been a good day! Make sure you crank some Brothers this weekend. Cheers everyone!

I recently added a bunch of independent leg exercises into my program to make my left leg do it's share. My legs and butt have been sore after just about each wo and I put almost 2 inches on my left leg doing these separate leg exercises. My legs are freeking skinny so in OCT my left leg was only 20 1/4 and my right leg was 22 now my left leg is 22 and my right leg is 23 and the strength difference is a lot closer. Looking forward to squats on Monday

Did 5 miles in 53 minute yesterday! Another personal best for me, and I'm a little sore today. Feels good though.
