Finally... turns out I was down for the count... fortunately, amoxicillin does great things! Got in the pool today. Did 2 X 200 and 2 X 400. Nothing major but it was just great to swim, get long, and do some turns. Got new running shoes today too. Tomorrow will be an easy 3 miler.

Here's to health and energy! Rock On Gang!

In full marathon training mode now. Back to back 50 mile weeks including a 20-miler 12 days ago and a 22.2 miler yesterday. This morning I feel like I raced (sore)!

Tough training through end of this month and then I taper to April 15. Trying to stay healthy!

Got in 3 miles and change today on a nice, sunny day. It's the first I've run in almost 3 weeks. Felt good to work up a sweat.

Good job hotlantatim! That's some serious training miles you're logging in.

Second day back in the pool after getting the bug. Mixed and matched sets for 1200 yards. It was good to see some friends I've made while visiting the pool. It's a good crew.

Picking my road bike up from the bike shop tomorrow. Now that we have another hour of daylight, time to get on the road again once or twice a week.

Looks like everyone is at it good and hard....I decided to step it up and bought a pair of Adidas power lifting shoes. I really want my squat form to get better and my trainer said a good pair of lifting shoes would help a lot so I took the plunge. I went with a pair that still has flex in the sole....I guess the higher end shoes have no flex at all but are for competition which is not in my sights....just better form(Deeper squat) and results. They're suppose to be here Friday so Saturday after my CPR class I'll give them a try.

Friday run today! Got out twice this week. After not running for a few weeks, I didn't feel too bad but I didn't push it either. Today will be an easy pace with a climb.

Since it's Friday and I've exercised every day this week, I'll be making it a double tonight! Cheers gang!

Went camping the first part of the week, did a lot of bike riding, hiking, even some running and playing catch with the frisbee in the sand. Back in the gym this am for legs, arms, and abs. Love this time of year!

My shoes got here yesterday afternoon so since I had a CPR class today I went to the gym yesterday and did some squats with them....I love em....I can get past parallel with them so I just did a bunch of sets to get the feel. Light weight with good form. I'm gonna drop the weight back to 120 and add 5LBS per workout and really work on getting deep. I know I over did it yesterday because I'm mighty sore today....

I bought the Adidas Power perfect II shoes.

It fits real snug and has a 3/4" heel that has some kind of poly-mire insert. No give at all and the sole is just a touch wider than a running shoe so it has a wide base that creates nice stability

Keep it going everyone!!

Nice gear goldtop!

Spent the day chainsawing my bougainvillea plant... forearms, wrists, and hands are tired and SORE... it was the plant from hell and chainsaws get heavy after a while...

Tomorrow I plan on busting out my road bike and going for an hour ride. It's been a few years. Hopefully I can get in one or two rides a week. Enjoy the weekend gang and keep chugging along!

Tough day in the pool today. Just wasn't feeling it. Got my yards in that I needed to (not the yards I wanted but I didn't feel like sinking) and called it a day. Tomorrow will be the Friday lunch run. I'll nail the swim next week!

We all have those days...it's our bio rhythm cycles ...we have highs and lows each month....last week was a struggle but I think a lot had to do with the time change. It really messed with me.

This week I had a good set of WO's...tomorrow I'll do some light jogging at the park and do some core and balance work. I want to join a softball league so I gotta start jogging because if I even think about sprinting my body just laughs at me.....Broke through 135 on bench today...140 next week....Squat weights going back up as I go lower....OK all keep it up

Wow.. some serious milage there Tim. Thats why I stick with the Half

I have 6 weeks to go till #2. Getting butterflies already, but I got this

I am about 25-30 miles per week, ahead of where I was at this point before my Half last year.

Still struggling mightily on the scale, trying to turn that around.

Still working hard and steady, hit a long plateau weight wise but it is starting to come down again. Eating more vegetables and fruits, have started eating just fruit for breakfast. Feel less hungry throughout the day when i do this. Keep on keeping on folks.

25-30 miles per week is serious mileage too Chuck. Much higher than my norm, when I'm not in this marathon cycle.

I ran the GA/Publix Half Marathon on Sunday. Didn't really race it as I'm in my marathon training cycle. 1:37.

I have another 20+ miler tomorrow. My 4th & final one of this cycle. I want to enjoy race day and putting in some serious long runs and good mileage (200 in March for me) is the way to do it.

And I think I enjoy the Half distance more!!
