Brrr... sounds cold Wharfy. Fortunately it's warmed up out here in So Cal and the wind is finally dying down. Hope to get at least 2 runs/2 swims in this week. Come Friday, the rain returns.

Got my mile in the pool today. Feeling it big time in the shoulder. Fortunately, I'm enjoying a something refreshing that is dulling the pain. Hope everyone got some good workouts in this week. Cheers!

Did a full body yesterday and cardio today....I'm trying to find the happy place on the escalator to nowhere ....I add a minute every time I go.....I thought about one of those work motivational posters...success is a journey not a destination....Made me laugh....

Been too cold to run outdoors lately, so I've been pushing iron in the gym with my eldest boy. Eating really well lately. Feeling good.

Felt good to get out on the road yesterday after having a cold this week. Some sunshine, fresh air, and a bit of sweat can do wonders. I'm still not a 100% but I'm getting there.

Depending on how I feel, I may hit the pool today for a few laps and just some lounging around.

Keep chugging along everyone! Here's to being empowered!

OK...I'm learning to not hate the stairmaster....The first day I only did 10 minutes and I felt like I was gonna die.... but I've been adding a minute each cardio day...Did 17 today and wasn't even breathing hard...it's fun to watch the body change and adapt to the stresses...It only took 7 sessions of cardio for me to feel a big difference between the first day of huffing and puffing to adding 7 minute and barely feeling it. I'm working up to 20 then I'll start raising the level on the stairmaster...I'm only on 8 right now...

I'm also enjoying my full body workouts on the weight days. My squats are much deeper now and I'm slowing adding weight, 5lbs a workout. I did 5 sets of 5 with 140 yesterday...while the guy next to me was doing perfect sets of 10 with 315....

keep it up guy/gals...lets' hear how you're doing

Heard "Why Does Love Got to be So Sad" on the radio as I pulled up to the gym yesterday morning, really got me going. Good leg and arm workout, then 750 reps of jumping rope for cardio (in increments of 150). Have a cold/sinus thing going on today, but I'm going to try and run on the treadmill anyway, don't want to break this groove I got going. Keep it up!

Great day to run. Sunny, clear, and warm. Did my switchback run through the green hills. Just took my time and enjoyed the trails.

Very little outdoor running unfortunately. Just too damn cold.

Good swim today. It's cooled down temp wise but the pool was toasty roasty. Best part is the guy in the lane next to me likes the ABB! Our 30 second break between sets turned into about 5 minutes! He saw the band back in the Brothers and Sisters days. Next time, I'll have to get a lane few down from his so I can get a good workout in... then again talking all things ABB beats any good workout!!

The actual workout was just the basics. And he did a few demonstations of how to lift, but we used just a long PVC pipe.
As for what we did..( and did 3 rounds,all timed)

25 "airsquats" - harder then it looks!

Just got back from a nice morniong workout, chest and shoulders, back and abs. Did a nice easy 3.5 miles on the treadmill. Feeling good!

I went back to a upper/lower split with 10 minutes of cardio everyday as my warmup....I wasn't getting enough work for my imbalances doing the 3 day full body

The gym is always a fun place and can be humbling...while I as struggling with 155 on squats some guy was doing incline DB Press with 110's....

Had a great legs and arms workout this morning with my son. It's so cool to be able to spend this type of quality "guy" time with him, while at the same time teaching him the right way to workout and take care of his body. Playing catch, shooting bows, playing Madden, these are very special times I'll always remember. Hope he does as well.

Nice run yesterday with a few climbs and some laps around the water tank. It reminded me of my track days. Today it's off to the pool. 1000 X 1 plus 500 X 1 with the pull buoy.

Had a great set of workouts this week...Good to hear everyone is still at it....I'm looking at adding some plyometrics to get some agility back....maybe join an old man softball league if I can learn to run again...
