Naw, that's just when you find out if you're serious about working out or not.

Friday at last! My swim yesterday sucked but BFD. You can't nail it every time but least I got in the pool.

Today is our Gelsons 7 miler. Two good climbs plus it will be a nice day. Looking forward to chugging up hill and finishing strong over the top.

After a period of time, im back at it. For the past three weeks I've been walking three miles just about every night. I have actually been jogging about a mile of that. I am drinking meal replacement shakes for breakfast and lunch and eating a sensible supper. So far, im down about 16 pounds. I am actualy used to, and look forward to, the shakes now. I am not endorsing a product here, so I will not call it by name, but i am becoming a believer. My back, however, is not cooperating. Pisses me off that as soon as I get rolling real good, my back prevents me from continuing my workouts.

Fighting a cold, but I haven't let it stop me! Chest and back today, with as much of a run afterwards as I can get done. Wharfy, I remember several years ago when you started down this road. You hit a roadblock, got discouraged, but came back strong. Truly an inspiration bro.

Nice run yesterday. Got in a good climb and pushed it through the top strong.

Today is a pool day. Shooting for 400 X 3 and no hurry.

Wharfy! Great to see you are training for a Half. It is my favorite distance. It's a big accomplishment but doesn't take over your life nearly to the extent that marathon training does.

I will say that running at Spirit of Suwanee Park is one of my annual traditions. I see more of the park in 35 minutes than almost anyone will all week. Bring your shoes and we can go on a morning jog.

Good to see you checking in hotlantatim!

Good workout in the pool yesterday. Got my 400's in and it wasn't a chore. Thursday will be some intervalls.

Taking the day off today. I'm going out to lunch with a friend. That being said, we'll enjoy a 10 minute walk to and from the restaurant.

Yea, Helen mentioned that! Sounds like a plan. I am little concerned about losing steam...
Though I am guessing your pace is much quicker then mine ( Im at a 10 minute mile)

10 min mile....I hope t get there someday. My little legs can hang on at 5.5. I can run a few min at 6 at a time but I can't keep it at that pace. Frustrating what a little .5 step up does to my breathing.

keep up the good work everybody!

Did the long switch back today. Just me and a friend. No rush. Gabbed the whole way. Picked it up the last half mile but didn't finish out of breath.

Here's to all of us getting out and about in whatever way we choose... may we always be Forever Young...

Had a couple of great workouts this weekend, but discovered my scale is weighing about 6 lbs light! AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!. So I'm really at about 220. Oh well, I'll just have to keep on with the program. Hang in there everyone.
