I envy the people who actually know how many they have.

Why be envious when there's Etree which automatically organizes your shows by the number, date, and even includes setlists?

I just use an excel spreadsheet. Believe it or not, for sorting and manipulating, I find it more useful than any of the "standard" tracking websites.

I went and checked, just out of curiousity. I have 101 Allman Brothers shows, and needless to say I truly don't believe I have a clinker in the bunch. It's funny how many iterations you go through when starting to obtain shows. The first show I got was actually a 1972 show from...yes, Phillybob! That one was real good, but I subsequently had to have more, and obtained ABB shows that brought me back in time to such wonderful memories, but the sound quality sucked. Gradually I started to become more discriminating and only kept high quality sound shows simply because I didn't have the need to collect a show just to have it. I ended up pruning my list by getting rid of about 35 poor quality sound shows (some were shows that folks wanted, others I literally threw out), and hence have shows that are great sounding and great shows. Tons of fun to listen to.

I ended up collecting a lot of Dead and Phil and Friends because I like them, and they have a wealth of high quality sounding shows, far more than the Brothers, unfortunately.

I love doing this trading thing, it is still fun to get a new show to listen to...!!
